I always love your reactions to Daniel cause you can appreciate his artistry and just how amazing of an artist he is. paranoia was like a pre-release so from the beginning these two songs were planned to be released one after the other, paranoia being about his inner daemons and anxiety and antidote about his and desperation and need for an antidote, his fight towards getting away from the daemons. Even with the dance, paranoia was more aggressive and creepy, like a zombie; but antidote is more contemporary, he went from representing or “playing as” his struggles to expressing himself and his emotions. The entire mini album is full of amazing songs and he participated in the lyrics for all of them. He’s become one of my favorite artists after who you are and he keeps getting better and better at everything (dance, music, concept, mv). It’s so nice that you can feel how genuine he is and how much he loves what he’s doing as he actively works towards the best results.

Paranoia was a prequel to antidote .. and that blue eye that he is standing on here is the red eye that he was dancing infront of in paranoia.. the whole album is telling his story in order from the first to the last song

When I listen to a new song by Kang Daniel for the first time, it’s like opening a present - full of anticipation and excitement because he always surprises us with something different. im telling u that guitar after the first chorus is what we need more of in kpop. Ramping it up, giving life to songs like this. It feels like a journey, like traversing through a rough patch. I almost wish they stuck with it more toward the end just in the moment but its still an unusual part which I wish happened more in kpop. As for Kang Daniel, I think hes one of the most suprising artists in recent memory for me. Out of all those from wanna one hes cemented himself for me as one of the most talented and emotional artists which I prior would have never thought. At first I never really knew what he was capable of, but hes turned into one of my favorite male solo artists over his past releases. Hes up there with Taemin rn and I cant thing of anyone else on the top of my head who gets even close to them

The reaction that I’ve been waiting for! ❤️ The song Antidote is actually a continuation of the story he’s trying to tell in Paranoia (actually, you gotta listen to the whole Yellow album to get the whole story that he’s trying to tell). I feel like there are scenes in the Antidote MV that can be associated with the ones from Paranoia. I totally agree when you said, “ The video felt more like a work of art rather than a music video.” Kang Daniel is just so talented and has soo much to offer and I just can’t help but love him!
