My dog isn’t nearly as big as a Kangel, but she’s part Aussie so she has a ton of energy and is big enough to scare people or do damage so when she was a puppy I would put my hand by her nose and if she went to bite it I would give her a soft smack and say “no” (just enough to annoy her) but if she licked my hand she’d get a treat and she stopped nipping in a few days. Now that she’s grown I play like this with her all the time and if she ever gets my hand or arm in her mouth she realizes instantly and doesn’t apply any pressure. Half the time when playing like this with her I hurt myself by running my hand into a canine lol.

Oddly enough this breed doesn't need much training when it comes to having a soft mouth in situations. They're just naturally extremely gentle with their family. It truly is a very interesting breed.

My 3.5 year old, 145# Male Kangal is just like this, every night after dinner, he wants to wrestle. I am 65, 245#, 6" tall. It always amazes me how he controls his powerful Jaws. He is such a big puppy. He also tries to knock my arms down with his paws as I pick him up and lay him on his sofa and lay on top of him to hold him down while I scratch his forehead, that calms him down till I let him back up.

Same here. My dog is super cuddly and sweet with my roommate but with daddy she knows it’s play time and she loves to play rough like this. Only downside is that it’s hard to cuddle with her because she has so much energy and always wants to wrestle or play fight but she’s just a puppy so she’ll calm down eventually.
