Many people know her talents but she is an extra ordinary person and very down to earth besides her talents and achievements. My sister is a huge fan of hers and recently, she got to meet her in an event. My Sister was about to get married in few days from that day. Chitra Mam heard about it and even gifted my sister a small amount as her wedding gift. Imagine a big celebrity talked to a very normal fan who had no background or whatsoever, congratulated the fan and even gifted her, all like just a neighbor. I wish her to live the longest.

Chitra ji has 6 national,34 state awards ,8 filmfare ,kerala state harivarasanam award , parliament of British,china and japan honour her , indian government honour with padmasree in 2003 ,no female singer in india reach this much top !! After lata ji i will say chitra ji only ,,in one interview lata ji said after me i will prefer chitra only she's my daughter alike ,,1979 to still 40 yrs she ruling in india over several languages
