Good that you figured it out and Megatron doesn't have an issue with the 4WD.

Glad I could help! I love my Branson!!! They are awesome, and I'll put them up against ANY other tractor! Built solid, and the LAST tractor manufacturer to actually still build their own tractor start to finish! Take care, please share our stuff we appreciate it!

A lot of the newer tractors it usually a electrical issue with a switch or solenoid or loose ground
@lynneperg68535 жыл бұрын
Got a chuckle out of that. My kid works on a computer help line. They have a saying, "That's a keyboard interface problem," when the machine operator makes a mistake.

Hi Kapper. Its internal to the system, a secondary non-user activated safety. They have it there to keep owners/drivers from actually engaging four wheel by accident or on purpose. Have heard of something similar on some older type equipment. Its a bug which they call a feature.
@kapperoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Well, I get it now, but I was sure worried for awhile! At least I figured it out before I brought it in to the shop! lol thanks.

Not a bug, that much power could break something, quick.

Hey, this kind of thing happens everyday. I bought a new chain saw from a power equipment store and they put the chain on backwards. Also had a guy tell me he didn't know his saw had a decompression button. He had been starting his saw for 15 years and never used the decompression until one day he couldn't pull it to get it started. He is 79. glad you figured the four wheel drive out.
@kapperoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
lol, yeah I've seen a lot of that too. With all the new veh's having so much electronic options dealers, mechanics often don't even know what all the options are or how to use and fix them! But yeah, glad I figured it out now! lol thanks.

That's a little strange. Not a bad idea for it to be in neutral in order to shift to 4wd, but there should be a warning message or something when the 4wd shift fails. Glad you figured it out!
@kapperoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
yeah agreed on both points. But I have to go back and check, it might have a warning that I did pick up on, but not sure. The 4wd light on the dash was red. I forgot to see if it was green or a different color when engaged properly. Next time I get it out I'll double check, thanks
@RB-hc7is5 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised your dealer service guy didn't ask you if you were in neutral when you engaged the 4wd. Just seems like that would be a common mistake. Anyway enjoy your videos!
@kapperoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, but you'd be surprised that even dealers don't always know all the options and how they work on the different models because so much changes so rapidly. Heck, when I ordered my new John Deere years ago, they botched up 2 different options from the factory! But I'm glad it was a 'good' learn and nothing broke! thank you
@clarkwheeler87645 жыл бұрын
Issues like that happen when there are just too many "bells" and "whistles". It'll get ya every time. Another saying I have is that "you have to be smarter than the machinery you're operating"... lol.
