Kuba is dying to see the role of the gods of higher existence in the god of war games isn't he? that's why he linked 'higher existence and kratos role as the god of death' out of nowhere. But santa monica isn't giving him. I really want to see them aswell, but I am getting a gut feeling they might have abandoned it (says who was really interested in them) Cory is off working on another IP Atreus broke the mask (which might be nothing but a macguffin) The devs want to think its some higher existence related shit but it isn't actually. I hope I am proved wrong totally tho in whatever next game they release.

Did you notice the floating mask in GOW 2018 right before Kratos & Atreus find the Unity Stone? When Atreus shoots his arrow at it, it emits a green light just like the wooden mask in Ragnarok. Do you think there could be a connection? @KaptainKuba

If this theory is also correct, then that would also make since for why Freya needed the heart of Hel's Guardian. A ingredient from a dead(or undead) creature to help heal a child who's father is the God of Death. I mean obviously this is just spitballing ideas. But that kinda makes sense now too.

I also want to see more rage in general in cutscenes and perhaps better weaponry and a redesign if the one take to allow mire fluid movements overall and mobility. Can't really say I was feeling like the god of war being so grounded and stiff all the time. I doubt the "Higher Powers" were upset with Kratos for not killing Thor; the deaths that happen around him aren't always direct acts of conscious violence done by him. Though Kratos spares Thor, Odin ends up killing him pretty much immediately after anyway, so Kratos still, in a way, brought death to Thor. Overall, very interesting theory, and something that could potentially serve as a plot point in upcoming games. Nice work 👍

He was given a crown, and he went off winning victories, and to win more of them. 3 When the lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, ‘Come!’ 4 And another horse went out, fiery red this time. Its rider was given permission to take peace away from the earth, so that people would kill one another. He was given a great sword. 5 When the lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come!’ As I watched, there was a black horse. Its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. 6 I heard something like a voice coming from the midst of the four living creatures. ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius!’ said the voice. ‘And three quarts of barley for a denarius! But don’t ruin the oil and the wine!’ 7 When the lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, ‘Come!’ 8 As I looked, there was a pale horse, and its rider’s name was Death. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with famine, and with death, and by means of earth’s wild animals. while it doesnt say 'pesticlence' specifically it DOES mention wild beasts(of which i wonder what the true name would be), which is probably the 1st horseman , War is 2, and famine(? which the way its described, could also be pestilence of a sort) is the 3rd

@@newhybrid101 well yes but no, he regained most of his godhood essence, from the blade but not enough to make him a full god, not enough for him to be able to access hyperion gates, and swim in river styx without harm, when he killed hades and took his soul absorbing it into his own, he contained the soul of a full god within himself, literally making him a god, which is why he’s able to access hyperion gates freely as a god and swim in the river styx, the theory that hades soul went into the claws is false, because the dev that stated that was bruno, and he was just sharing his own theory and opinion to the topic, he even said “i suppose” at the start of his sentence which literally means to assume something is true without evidence, proof or knowing for certain, bruno is also not a writer! he’s a game coder only, so he wouldn’t know regardless, people take things out of context too much and make theories on something that’s not even accurate, we also know that the soul went into kratos, because the soul was stated to also give kratos a new ability, which was to access the hyperion gates and river styx without harm, he does this WITHOUT the claws of hades present, and without even accessing or equipping the claws of hades, if the soul was in the claws, he’d have to equip the claws to access the river styx and the hyperion gates, as the claw would contain the soul which also contains the ability, each weapon in the game has to be equipped to use its special ability, it also shows hades soul going into kratos himself not the claws, the only confirmed souls in the claws of hades are hades’s army, he ALSO still has the spartan rage ability, which is only a power he has when he’s a regular god, during gow ghost of sparta, he uses spartan rage for the first time in the end of the game to kill thanatos, after this, he lost all connection to his mortality, and this was during his early reign as the god of war, spartan rage is a god power that was created due to the godhood essence that athena gave him co-existing with the human side kratos once had, in the same body. This fused together creating this innate emotional conflict within himself, making his god rage power, kratos in his regular demigod state DOES NOT have this ability, greek demigods are MORTALS there is no such thing as demigods being as powerful as gods unless you are risen to divine rank and given godhood, which is the second definition and term for “demigod” mortals who become gods, which is what kratos is

If that were so, then the sisters of fates powers would pass to Kratos, but he was only able to use the mirrors twice, and the temple collapsed after the death of the sister. I theorize that Kratos can come to the edge of death and come back, because of the ashes of prometheus he absorbed in gow2. I think he took on his curse to always revive. After fighting Hades for the first time back in 2011, I speculated for every god Kratos slays, he doesn't just get their weapons, but gets their godhood. Ex: He becomes the new god of the underworld when Hades died, then the god of speed as Hermes died, then all leading up to becoming essentially the god of gods when defeating Zeus.

This doesn’t make sense there’s no proof of this except a line from Zeus that was not literal because they never mention it again, and the fact that kratos kills people and people die sometimes when they know kratos. Kratos doesn’t become the gods that he kills; god of war one showed there was a ritual that made you god of war.

That was a cool theory, my headcanon was that he was always the god of strength(I think greek myth has a Kratos like that) which explained his feats of strength especially in GOW 2 where he lost his powers as god of war. I also wonder if Kratos usurped Deimos' fate as the marked warrior by mantling(like in the elder scrolls) because im sure the sisters of fate would want to make sure the prophecy never happens if their lives are on the line and would make sure they got the right kid.

The reason why he’s able to kill Thantos it’s because he’s using the Blades of Chaos, it was explained in ragnarok that it is a primordial weapon and possibly contains a primordial fire, which is far older than the greek gods. Old as Chaos. Its source is not bound in its birthplace, the reason why Kratos is able to use it in whatever place he goes.

I think ragnorak Valhalla gives us the actual answer at the end: Kratos is a god of hope. He embodies it in all of what he has done, the good and the bad points of hope. Hope can pull you out of the deepest pit, and pull you right into one, depending on what you are hoping on and how you use it. Hope can destroy worlds and save them. It starts wars and finishes them. Lastly, I also think kratos being unable to die is due to this little classic line: “hope never truly dies.”

Kratos is the god of war. He is cursed to be at basically never ending war. War with others war with himself. He goes to war against the gods, against hydras, Barbarians even against simple doors. But what is war without hope things can be better. What are you even fighting for if it’s not for things to get better. That’s why by the end of Valhalla he’s the God Of Hope

And do believe this is a very interesting theory, but I believe he is a destroyer, but he’s also a creator, depending on how he uses his powers, but the Kratos we know has killed everything that has stood against him yet in the moral at the end of god of war rag it showed him being worshiped, and being more of a creator, it’s all about him being better, and breaking the chain --of death for the most part

To be fair, considering Thor still dies even with Kratos choosing himself to stop, I think that still shows him as being the God of death. Which will then play with Sindri as he already once kept Brok from death, now seeing Kratos as exactly that, the Shadow of Death to overcome once more.

Even though Kratos chose not to kill Thor, he still brought about Thors death by making that choice. He also didn’t directly kill the lady who fell off the balcony at the sight of him. So I think your theory still applies and makes a lot of sense. Death just follows him whether it comes by his own hand or his decision to be in a certain place at a certain time.

If Kratos was the God of Death, then could this be possible: - Thor killed Kratos at the beginning of Ragnarok (then revived him), becoming God of Death (I think Barlog confirmed Kratos died), - Odin killed Thor, becoming God of Death, - Sindri killed Odin when Atreus placed his soul in the marble, becoming God of Death, - Sindri could be God of Death???

The inheritance theory of the divine role is intriguing, it reminds me of the mythology of the hyperborian era and other shamanic ideologies where the archetype transcends through a messianic avatar. Personally, I think that Kratos' role as a deity of War, Destruction and Death is included with his demidio legality, but the interesting thing is that how you highlighted hope got him out of that vicious cycle and now he is using his talent responsibly. And who knows if it is something else, like a counterpart of the plane of existence or part of it but in another archetypal focus!

Wouldn't that make Kratos the entire Greek pantheon though? He killed them all, so why would he not mantle them all?
@juanisol8275
@juanisol8275 Жыл бұрын
@@Nostradevus1 Curious question and whose answers are the following: 1) The entire Greek pantheon was corrupted and by destroying them its essence transmuted into chaotic cataclysms 2) Kratos possessed the power of hope and acquired more power thanks to Pandora's sacrifice 3) Kratos lost much of his divinity by sacrificing himself for humanity PS I think that what Kratos did was directly an absolute reset, since somehow everything was stagnating similar to Kronos when he tried to cheat the prophecy... That power cannot be removed, only by earning it does one achieve it...
@Nostradevus1
@Nostradevus1 Жыл бұрын
@@juanisol8275 None of those explain how the mantling theory can be true while he was not mantling each god he killed.1. I took those cataclysms as being signs that the Gods were required to keep the different aspects of the world in check. Once he killed a god of say the seas you start seeing floods, because noone is around to keep the seas in check. This means noone was mantling those divine aspects, which begs the question again. If he can mantle the god of death just by killing him, why not the others? 2. Has nothing to do with the mantling. I understand he had the power of hope, but it is separate entirely from the power of the gods. 3. He is still clearly a god in God of war 4/5, the game director said he is stronger than he has ever been, and lastly in God of War 5 it is explained that the Greek magic/magical items he acquired no longer work because magic is bound to the realm. Kratos as a God has become stronger, but has to learn to tap into the magics of the Norse realms.
