Kapunda Tourist Park - South Australia

Kapunda is located centrally between the Clare Valley and the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It is only a short 62 kilometres from our home here in Adelaide making it an ideal location for our two night getaway. Kapunda is the oldest mining town that existed within Australia. As you enter the township of Kapunda from the Adelaide end, don’t forget to have a look on your left side at Map the Miner, an 8 metre statue representing the Cornish miners of yesterday.

Hi Mick and Sally, Great production as always. Two questions if I may. Could you please tell me the brand of your fridge slide as I have the titan draw set and it appears that your slide fits and works well. Secondly I noticed the light bar location. I've been thinking of placing one in the same location but was concerned about light interference on the bonnet. Are you happy with the position? Once again great informative productions inspiring us to get out and about. Cheers Jamie

We have a MSA fridge slide and works well. The light bar does light up the bonnet when on but doesn't worry anyone in the vehicle. The higher up driving lights and light bars are mounted, the better they work as shadows are eliminated. The only down side to the light bar being where it is, it interferes with AM radio stations. There are now light bars that will not cause this interference but of course cost more to purchase.

At some stage this year I am driving my camper to Western Australia Perth and back to Mount Gambier Once I have arrived in Perth I will be up there for at least 2 weeks to spend time on holidays Type of vehicle: 1984 Nissan Urvan diesel SD23 - Column shift 5-speed manual... Colour is currently white but later down track in the future I am thinking of painting it - Nissan Sky Blue metallic which I think they have used back in the day on a few Nissan's... Wow that's changed since I was last there year 2000, my Parents lived there in their retired years, Mum had a fall there in 2000 and passed away in Adelaide Hospital, both interred at Kapunda Cemetery.

@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Hi Mick and Sally we love your caravan videos and your Road train ones Mick, I'm a retired truck and machine driver and we love caravaning as well, over here in Scotland and the UK you would not get a pitch on a campsite for less than 50 of your dollars and that's with no kitchens and bad weather and litter all over the country, like those triple road trains Mick huge compared to our little trucks, keep up the stories, bye now Rab and Audrey
