🇷🇺 Not long ago the town of Karabash was declared Russia's most toxic town due got the heavy pollutants that a mining plant was pumping into the air over the region.
And so with my friend Roman from the popular KZbin channel NFKRZ we decided to visit the town and see for ourselves just how life was progressing there.

It's not even as polluted as it had been before. I visited that town about 10 years ago and saw bright yellow rivers, green soil and so on. Nice that the nature is doing better these days. Btw, there is a nice lake around, called Увильды. Pure water, golden sand and a wonderful forest.

There's nothing unusual about it, except for the amount of Vodka. Abandoned buildings I find pretty normal, nice old people normal, only difference is we got better water and air, but also less vodka, so I don't know what's better, really.

Considering this video explicitly shows one of a select few cities which is doing among the worst in Russia, to use this as representation that "Everything is shit" is propaganda levels of untruth. The same way the Soviets would make propaganda rolls about the people working with their high tech, their massive farming hauls, is what we're seeing when you say bullshit like this. This city has been in decline not stop since 1939. That's virtually worse than all Far eastern cities! Even Magadan is in 20x better shape NFKRZ only takes pride in the niche groups which he belongs to. He's not an unhappy person, he just can't see and doesn't want to accept that the world around him is not as bad as he makes it out to be. Otherwise, that detracts meaning from his group belonging. That one episode was a hard watch. It's a place in the world, and citizens live their daily lives there. The one we saw on camera seemed like very nice people who considered this land their home. But it's so sad to see the devastation on the landscape and the environment. Plus the feeling that everyone else just up and left, leaving entire buildings to rot. It's so striking and depressing
