Joe Bad (Fit For An Autopsy) and Dickie Allen (Infant Annihilator, Scumfuck, Scarlet Rot, Project Vengeance) are here to help Mark and Alex announce and explain the contest in full. Questions about the editing rules: 1. Can I have a very slight overlap in two takes for two different parts? For example, I took two different takes for bar 1 and bar 2. However, bar 1 went a little bit long and I would like to just quickly fade out the volume from bar 1 and fade in the volume from bar 2. Is this allowed? 2. I understand that many takes are allowed in general. Going further, can I splice together two different takes to a single bar. For example, I really like the start from take 1 but the end was poor, and vice versa I only like the end from take 2. I would like to cut out the end from take 1 and the start from take 2, and combine them in between some word. Is this allowed? 3. Can I reuse takes? For example, the same take used for the first and the second chorus.

I’ve been making my covers by playing songs over some speakers and recording thru my iPhone with no mic (I use an unplugged mic because idk what to do with my hands) and recording songs on GarageBand. Just submitting a track with your vocals over the instrumental and your lyric sheet. And yes, you can use as many tracks and cuts as you want - you just can't double track, layer, overlap or edit your vocals in a production sense.
