This girl is an absolute icon! Half Baked and The Craft?!?! These two movies were huge part of my adolescence, they probably shaped me more than I care to admit. Rachel has such a cool voice and a calm nature. Her hair is absolutely beautiful, and though I'm a fair skinned half Hispanic, my hair is like hers and it meant a lot to see her on screen experience. I have the same jokes about hair from down under made my expense as she did in The Craft. I would love to see you do a video on one of her the craft co-stars next, Fairuza Balk! I find her fascinating, and I have to imagine that she did not at all identify with her American History X character. I may just not know movies that these two ladies been in, but it seems like the both of them have this Daniel Day Lewis like thing where they do these absolutely iconic and impactful roles but then you don't see a whole lot of them.

@kelseyissastar8 ай бұрын
While that is True, mixed black girls like her still have to figure out what works for them in terms of products and routine. It’s not the same struggle as a tighter curl pattern but when you’re mixed, you have multiple textures fighting for domination on your head and it takes work to get it how she has it. I hope that made sense. I’m not disagreeing, I’ve just seen the mixed girls in my family and the hair is crazy lol.

She was my favourite in Half and Half because I could somewhat relate to her feeling like she's an outsider and I guess it's a Scorpio thing to have this strong dark side that can really take over your life if you're not careful. I too was drawn to the supernatural and astrological wonders at a young age. I always wanted to be in the dark and took out the curtains in my room so I could feel as though I was sleeping outside....my mom was surei was crazy but then someone I met later on educated me about the darkness and how it creeps in if you give it any room in your life.

The craft was such a relatable movie especially for girls who live in the burbs . Rachel True’s hair is gorgeous but black girls with two parents who are black and so therefore who don’t have the looser curl pattern HAVE to know their hair is beautiful too. While there are exceptions to the rule black girls and women without a white or straight haired parent, will likely have coarse, tight curls that hair type is also gorgeous.
