My girlfriends daughter passed from drug addiction at 20 years old, my son was a few years younger then her when he got mixed up with some drug use, my friend brought over a little container of her daughters ashes and gave them to him. She said do you want your mother to only have this( the ashes) left of you? Do you want that? Get you shit together and don’t let drugs do THIS to YOU! It was a highly emotional experience. He’s clean by the way.

Carnival Cruise lines does an awesome spreading of ashes on the ocean ceremony thats attended by the Officers on the ship and the family of deceased. Before you get off the ship to go home they present you with a very very nice framed document with the persons name, the date, time, and the exact Coordinates the cremains were entered into the ocean with the name of the ship and several other pieces of info. Its signed by the Captain of the ship.

Hi Kari. A year after receiving my wife’s remains, we had a little gathering at the house on the anniversary of our first date. I scattered about 20% of her remains under a tree we planted years ago, and around the property. The next summer, friends and family gathered in Bar Harbor Maine, where we rented a house for a week, visited all her favorite spots, then scattered about 60% of her remains by biplane, by hand near a pod of whales, and I purchased something that you did not discuss: a special paper box with a water soluble bag inside. I placed her remains inside the bag, inserted the bag into the box, then we floated the box out towards the Atlantic. After a while, the paper box begins to disintegrate, the bag gets wet, and disintegrates, and the remains drop out. I found the box online. Comes in various colors, shapes and sizes. I kept about 20% of her remains for when I pass, but over the last 6 years, I have decided that it’s not what she wanted, so we are going back to Maine in July, and scattering the rest of her out over the Atlantic by an old biplane again. Keep up the good work Kari!

Cremation Ashes Harm the Environment On their own, cremation ashes are harmful when placed in or around plants. For years people have placed cremation ashes around plants as an act of returning their loved one to nature. When cremation ashes are buried directly into the ground, they do not decompose which hurts the surrounding plant life. For cremation ashes to become beneficial to plant life, the very high pH level has to be lowered and the toxic levels of sodium must be diluted. If these two concerns are not properly addressed, the plant will become stressed or collapse. A very limited variety of plants are tolerant of the toxic level of sodium found in cremation ashes.

OMG, what is happening to our civilized society? I guess us old school guys just liked things the way they were back in the day. At seventy-three years of age, I just don't understand the world we now live in. At my cousins funeral home, 75 to 80% of all funerals are still traditional burials. If someone is cremated, those ashes are either scattered or placed into one of many nice urns or wooden boxes we carry. I keep saying we as I have a monetary interest in the business. I would like to see a collab video done where the people who work in the funeral business share what their plans are for when they pass. I cannot come to a decision on what I want and I think people who work in the business would have a better idea of what is ideal. I am thinking I want to be creamated and then save my ashes in an urn for when my husband passes and we can be mixed...or if he goes first the other way around. Then buried or spread somewhere. Being drained of fluids and filled with chemicals and then buried just creeps me out so much. I know I will be dead and not really know but still....Ugh!

My husband expired on November 30th, 2021. I wasn't depressed until that day. Anyway, I'd be interested in the vinyl record...what's the info for the vinyl record? 2021 was the year for "trying new things" for The Martinez's. I bought my first vinyl record last year, long before I ever got my first record player. Then one day, I finally got my first record player. And then another Victrola. I'm a huge fan of Billie Holiday. My husband supported my positive habit of vinyl. Nearly every song she sang, I felt like she was singing/telling a story. Now that he's gone smh the words are haunting. "Easy to remember" title of the song. Lyrics, easy to remember But so hard to forget. "Gloomy Sunday"...that one tugs at my heart more often than not! Just like any of the songs on her very last album before her death, Lady In Satin. That's the album I'd like to share some of his ashes to make into a vinyl. He was my soul mate. I've never cried for anyone the way I've cried for him. The anxiety is still in my chest 31 days later. I have appt for the 17th of this month to make sure it's just anxiety vs my heart literally 💔. I know no one asked for all of this information, you only asked what did we do with the ashes. I only bought an urn. It's was unexpected. He was 48 and I'm only 45. If anyone could kindly comment with the link on where to get the vinyl made or how much. I'd appreciate it a lot. Guess we're never too young to die.

Train enthusiasts of "particularly steam locomotives", have been known to request their ashes be tossed into the burning firebox of a steam locomotive while it is running down the tracks which eventually gets puffed out of the engines smoke stack with the coal smoke and steam and is thrust into the air at high pressure along the line and dispersed along the countryside.

We still havent done anything with my son's ashes from April 2022. They are in his own wardrobe along with the ashes of his two beloved dogs who passed since. We want to place 50% ashes near where he loved fishing up the coast and 40% in a box in the wall with other family members. The other 10% we can all share between us.

For myself I originally wanted someone to make a replica of an American Music Award and somehow place my remains inside. But seeing that I have no children I changed my mind and I don’t think my nieces and nephews want to keep that anywhere . So I decided to find a really awesome looking sphere urn that can be engraved and withstand being in water. I want a diver to place me in the ocean off the gulf coast of Florida , Okinawa or the Maldives near a reef somewhere so I can be with the fishes .

Please study the Bible and listen to real theologians like Dr. John Ankerberg and learn that ALL dead bodies are unclean, the High Priest wasn't even allowed to enter a cemetery! You should also know that there is a huuuge difference between human ashes and the animal ashes. The ashes of the red heifer has been used to cleanse the Temple. Human remans/ashes are disgusting and must be buried and not kept at home or anywhere above ground! And by the way, GOD doesn't really like cremation, read the Book of Amos: Judgment on Moab, Judah, and Israel Amos 2: 1 This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Moab, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because he burned to lime the bones of Edom’s king. 2So I will send fire against Moab to consume the citadels of Kerioth. Moab will die in tumult, amid war cries and the sound of the ram’s horn.… Human remains are unclean and unclean/occult/accursed things attract demons and give them a foothold. Do your own research on these things, look up the occult objects list!

My family and I for the most part want to be cremated. Last year when my granddaughter died she was cremated and my daughter has the box of cremains. Many of gd friends wanted a pinch of ashes so I designed something of polymer clay and resin. My daughter gave 25 of these to gd friends. I have now made 5 that I carry with me every day. Also made my daughter 5-6 that she will carry or wear. I want to help others that would like something similar for other people. Of all the many people I have told about my idea, only 1 said she couldn't do it.

This is very informative. However if you're Orthodox or even Roman Catholic or orthodox jew, just a about a decade ago, cremation was only for pagans. In Leviticus, tattoos of the deceased aren't kosher. Putting their ashes in with the ink would probably be even worse. Today, cremation or speeding up the process of going to ashes and dust is OK. However the cremains must be placed in a collumbarium in a blessed cemetery or buried at the cemetery. The sad thing about some of these suggestions is there is no grave to pray at as the years go by. If you're a celebrity, cremation might be a good thing because as our immoral Frankenscience progresses, they won't be able to clone you in the future. Some celebrities don't even get to rest in peace from their fans and future fans. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWqcYmmwbdycia8

@@jrw5831 Thanks. I guess more and more Americans are disenchanted with the concept of the resurrection or at least the human body being something sacred. I mean, I wouldn't think of doing half of these things in the video with my little Chihuahua's ashes. Putting little Challupa-puss in a Cinco de Mayo firework would never enter my mind...let alone a human being.
