This week, Karla Bonoff's 5 Minute Concert Tour takes us "Home." A Karla classic and staple of any show she does was released on her first album in 1977. Bonnie Raitt covered it the same year and helped the world discover the song. In 2020, 43 years later, Trisha Yearwood, did a lovely version on her latest album, Every Girl. In between, 1977 and 2020, the song was recorded by many others It's a song about hope and how good it feels when you get back home. Like so many of Karla's songs, they are universal and these days, as we are at home more than ever, the song paints a warm, comfortable vision for our sheltered times. This performance of "Home" with Karla and Nina Gerber is from a show they did last fall at My Father's Place in Roslyn, New York.

A major discovery for this self-taught guitarist!!! Karla using a partial capo on the 2nd fret!! Have listened to Karla and played her songs for 40 years and today I discover that my naive use of a ukulele capo in the same position is also used by my GOAT singer/songwriter!!! I'm in heaven. 🥰
