For that one guy talking about the Sigma-Sombra interaction, Sombra cancels Channeled Ultimates and abilities, but can't cancel Transformation Ults and abilities. A Channeled ability is one where the hero is locked out of usually all their other abilities to perform a completely new action. You tend to have less control over the hero. (Cassidy can't roll or grenade during Deadeye. Sigma can't rock or succ during Flux. Lúcio can't crossfade, wallride, or boop during Beat) Transformation abilities change the hero, but still allow the use of abilities. You have much more control over your hero during this time. (Genji can still deflect and dash during Dragonblade. Roadhog can still hook and heal during Whole Hog. Mercy can still res and GA during Valkyrie).

Regarding the sigma question, I feel like Sigma gets way more value than it FEELS like he is getting. He one of one of those heroes that is hard to judge how well you are doing in a lot of cases. Similar to Lucio or Brig when you aren't used to them it often feels like you aren't seeing value when you are in fact adding a lot.

The tempo thing is so true. That's why I like playing support; since you can drastically control the tempo by forcing cooldowns through healing the damage or adding damage to make the enemy other supports sweat. Just treat everyone on your team as a meat sponge until you force the enemy to committing to dive you.

For sombra hacking you out of flux, the way I usually see it is, when you're playing a hero with an ult that can get cc'd by one of the heroes on the opposing team, you just have to make sure they're not there when you do it. For example, if you're gonna flux, try to kill sombra first or at least try to make sure she has to focus on something else entirely. This shouldn't be very difficult as sigma. I used to play Reaper a lot back in OW1. I would know that forcing Mcree to use up his flash was the first and foremost priority before even thinking about ulting. It's usually the case with most offense ults. You don't deadeye in front of an Ana or Roadhog. You know what's gonna happen. So why would you flux in front of sombra?

Sig player here. (Mostly played OW1 so info may be outdated) For me, Sigma is one of the few heroes in the game that force you to pay ULTRA attention to the game. You need to balance your cooldowns, as well as paying attention to enemy behaviors and cooldowns to block with your shield. Examples being Hook, Dva rockets, Sigma rocks, Sojourn blasts, etc. Your ultimate is no different. Paying attention to those CCs (sleep, hook) and even pre shielding where you’re planning on flying to is key. Sombra is admittedly harder to deal with, HOWEVER, paying enough attention is enough to deal with her counter you.

Similarly, on Tank I find a lot of success just playing Ball TBH. As scary as Mauga is, I feel like I have much better odds distracting his supports until my team collapses on the defenseless Mauga, than I do against any other tank, where it's just as likely my team will somehow lose the 4v1 to Reinhardt or whoever. Like, Anti-nade is supposed to be this huge counter because it stops Mauga from getting healed, right? Well, if you can distract the enemy healers for even 3 seconds, you've just effectively used an Anti-nade, as Wrecking Ball.

My hot take on genji: he is actually very weak, but everyone who plays him has an obscene amount of hours on him, just because he is so fun. Blizzard is currently looking at nanoblade, which is the only thing that makes him legit strong, but he should be treated the same as tracer, both being very high skill dive heroes that require really good game sense and mechanics. @@fallasleep3513 and you probably missed the whole OW1, if you think its unfixable Doom currently is braindead easy in low ranks, because players shoot his block, and stupidly hard high rank. His slam is broken since after beta and his movement is too good. Fix bugs, nerf movement, delete empowered punch, buff dmg. You know how doom is played high rank after nerf? You literally have less stun on wall splat, then if there is no wall. Devs should speed up enemies hit by punch, so dooms will stop using only uncharged punches + guaranteed shots and give him something else in return. Should probably nerf or delete block and give something else as well.

Hot take (since everybody else is doing it): I think in a few weeks Mauga is gonna be practically unplayable in comp with no nerfs necessary. People are gonna learn how to kill him fast as long as supports stay strong and tankbusters still exist. I don't think a lot of tank players will want to commit to him, because he feels terrible despite his strengths. I do think the armour health is overkill, but otherwise it's only a matter of time

Obviously you cant really use your ult while Sombra is hiding but if sombra is hiding just so you cant use your ult the neutral fight becomes much easier and you can pressure the enemy sigma a lot more... Since you cant hack a hacked target the sombra cannot Hack you in the sig 1v1 because you would have a free flux after that. It's similar to a sig 1v1 where one sig cant really use rock because they have to keep it for flux, so they have a massive disadgvantage in the frontline battle

i think maybe you mispoke but mauga can only gain 50% damage reduction due to the change they made recently involving damage reduction when he has armor and CO activated. its only 10% less, but it still keeps you up pretty crazy. his other numbers are: 70% lifesteal from CO 60% overhealth regen from his passive mauga being oppressive is 100% from the extra armor they gave him. the overhealth is extremely negligible from the buff they gave. his OH generation is damage based, the change just made his generation of it equal to what it was when he had 5 damage per bullet, which inadvertently lowered his survivability. however, because he has more armor and overhealth goes OVER armor, it made his survivability skyrocket. putting his armor back should make him. super simple fix to him. i really hope they dont go overboard nerfing him, i really like the change they made to his spread since it makes him feel more usable against squishies and is generally healthier for the game. but because he has so much armor he can just braindead shoot at people. i genuinely love mauagas kit. people hate him and i understand but shooting big ass guns is fun and cool personally i think they should nerf his armor, maybe nerd the lifesteal on CO by 10%, and nerf his ult gen by like 10% since he still gets it too quick

i say dps is the hardest role as they control the game as the “assassins” who have to pick off as many enemies as possible to make it easier for tanks to bunker down. u can get away with one bad support but if one of ur dps are lacking it’s a bad day.

I believe Sombra would be a much healthier character if they removed the permanent invis. Admittedly im not a high elo player so 'git gud' is a totally legitimate response here; however, stealth in most games comes with disadvantages. For example, rogues in WoW move slower during their infinite invis. Sombra gets faster. Instead of infinte invis, they could make her transponder have her 'vanish' after teleporting for like 3-5 seconds. I just feel like full-on stealth does not fit overwatch. Flanking or attacking the backline usually requires an out-of-the-way route or maybe crouching for a bit to avoid detection but Sombra can practically run right past people on a normal route with little worry of being detected and THEN sit and wait for the perfect opportunity to attack. No other charactercan do that so easily. Hack is annoying but as a lot of people have said, there is counterplay. With permanent invis the counterplay is severely reduced, especially when you do pay attention and counter her attack, she just teleports into the air or round a corner and the whole process is reset cause she is invisible again practically before she hits the ground. That to me is an unfun experience especially when your partner support wont switch from Zen after dying to her 5 times in a row. I know Blizz wanted to keep her 'hacker' identity but I feel like they could remove perma stealth and buff in some other way to make her 'fit' OW2 better.

I know he's too strong right now, but revert the number of bullets to light on fire isn't the right call. It felt terrible to play, that's why they revert this so fast. They need to reduce his armor and reduce his damage a little bit more. And speaking of reduce damage, revert the Tracer buff as well, she was fine before. And revert the Kiriko's suzu buff. A lot of weird changes on that patch.

Sombra's inconsistencies really piss me off. It's so annoying trying to keep track of what does or doesn't get stopped by hack or emp. Honestly I would prefer that emp doesn't cancel any ults but instead has increased damage and/or applies an extended bug status to anyone it hits. Edit: It's also super annoying that she can potentially cancel multiple ults with her own, especially considering those ults may take longer to charge than hers. On control points especially she can lock down the whole point with her ult.

Like all data looking at one stat wont give you a good conclusion, I know most people dont have this but stats are useful if you look at every single stat and come to a logical conclusion based off that, if you see a screenshot of stats for a game it'd be pretty easy to figure the players who played by looking at all stats in comparison to other player stats and also looking at how long the game lasted. Basically I believe Stats are good and useful people should just learn how to read data, and by that I mean look at all the stats. If people made conclusions by looking at all the stats they would make more sense, that simple.

Even with the recent buffs he's pretty bad. Just move put of the way when he activates Cardiac O. And play characters that can block or absorb his damage and his sustain drops off heavily.

Playing the "Wait for the the cooldown" is awful in any hero and shouldn't even be part of the game. Like back when hog was meta and no one could do a damn thing until you "baited the hook". If at least hack was a skillshot like the sleep dart I'd be ok with it interrupting ults, but its simply just a "bip boop bip get screwed" ability. Im fine with EMP interrupting ults but hack way too cheap for the value it can get.

@@ReaveIdono it depends on how cheap it is to execute said counterplay. When you block a shatter, lamp a pulse bomb or matrix a grav you have a to be at a specific place and execute a specific ability on a very brief window of time, that requires skill and its to be respected. Hack is different as you have waaay to much time and space to execute it, specially when the enemy can't shoot back during his ult (like orisa and Mcassidy)

Mauga is broken as hell. Barely anything counters him. Dva sigma can stall a little but you have to rely on your team to do the damage to him. Only thing that can fully fight back is another mauga. You shouldn't have to pick a full team to counter 1 hero, he is broken. And God forbid you don't have mauga yourself then you just can't fight back, you can only stall him out a little with sigma dva. And I don't want to play sigma dva every game. Can't wait for his nerf he's braindead and op.
