Why supposed crucifixion? It's a historical fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross.
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 7 ай бұрын
I knew somebody would take issue with that, but there was no way to rectify it in the video in a way that would make sense. I wasn't doubting the crucifixion. I was saying "supposed crucifixion" (in quotes) because if the belief was true that Jesus died in Kashmir, then he couldn't have been crucified in Israel and then went to Kashmir, if he had died. So I was only stating that from the perspective of those who believe in the theory that Jesus died in India. It wouldn't have made sense if I said that Jesus came to India after the crucifixion, since he couldn't have gone somewhere else if he was dead. So it was a matter of a bit of a linguistic paradox to try and explain the beliefs of those who think he died in Kashmir. There is far more evidence that Jesus was crucified in Israel than the idea that he died in Kashmir.

We met your mother when you went back for a visit . You had said that she and a friend were going to travel somewhere . Did she have a good time , and is doing ok ? I remember you were driving an older large sedan , and then went on a hike and camping in CA . First time I heard you say “hey bear “. Been a long time since then , and interesting how you camp , with critters around ! Looking forward to continuing this journey in India !

Same with me, it was about 6-8 years ago I guess, I think Kashmir had started opening up more at the time so there wasn't so much tourism. Walking along the main dal lake area was like running the gauntlet with relentless hassle. I still also enjoyed my time there, but ended up not being interested in talking to local people because 9 out of 10 times it would turn into some sort of hustle.

that sounds like roughly the same time period I was there actually. I kind of lucked out with the guesthouse I stayed at, as the owner was quite willing to show me around (him and his friends were quite the characters). I still occasionally keep in contact to this day. I had a couple of random people invite me to their homes, but I was worried it would lead to some kind of a plea for money or worse, so I decided to be cautious and decline. @@matthewmorris7510

Kashmir, the whole of it, has been integral part of India and this historical fact goes back to more than 5000 years. Ancient Hindu civilisation thrived here and Hindus' top rank saints like Shankaracharya, Panini and many others wrote all the holy books of Vedas here in Kashmir. Till 14th century this whole region from Ladakh to Jammu was all pure Hindu and Bauddh population. Islamic invaders attacked on India since 15th centure and our Kashmir bore their most brutal attacks. Their loot and atrocities resulted into conversion /surrender to Islam by poor tribal Kashmiris. Though rich Hindus traders, educationists kept living here under Rajput brave warrior kings. After partition of 1947 Pakistan cunningly attacked on this state when there was some gap of days before the Hindu Rajput king joined India. He joined India in November 1947 and Indian army fought war against Pakistan and pushed it away but suddenly UN ordered cease fire and a substantial part of Kashmir remained with Pakistan for which India is still fighting. We will take it back very soon now. Pakistan never had any basis, historical or else, to claim over this beautiful state of India and it will never get even a single inch of it..... Please, don't call our Kashmir a disputed territory here. Thanks.

Jammu and Kashmir is not a disputed area it's india. India is not only a country created in 20th century it is one of the oldest civilization on earth and Kashmir was always part of it. before British left India they split India into pieces and created Pakistan. not happy satisfied with the areas they got Pakistan invaded Kashmir gilgit baltistan and illegally occupying them since. it is like a son separated from his father not satisfied with the land he got attacking his own father grabbing his land and calling it disputed.

I have to agree, they regularly honk when there's absolutely no point to it. Either traffic is already moving or it's stopped and nothing can be done about it. As a result everyone has to tolerate constant noise.
