Katalin Kariko and Drew Weissman win Nobel in Medicine

Two scientists won the Nobel Prize in medicine on Monday for discoveries that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19. Katalin Karikó is a professor at Sagan’s University in Hungary and an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Drew Weissman performed his prizewinning research together with Karikó at the University of Pennsylvania.

He isn't the inventor. mRNA is a natural product that exists in all living things and it wasn't discovered by him. The claims that he's the inventor is from a single sentence in a single article he wrote in the late 80s where he lists potential uses that were floating around and he also mentions vaccines. Its now been 3 years and every single claim of their danger turned out to be nonsense. The only negative effect anyone has found was that its a massively less dangerous version of the proteins that it contained vs the original Virus.
