Katarina was only about 28 or 29 years old, but was already considered a senior athlete in the twilight of her competitive career. At this point, she had nothing more to prove and this performance was just like a cameo appearance to give her a chance to exit in style!! She will be remembered as one of the greatest and glamorous figure skaters of all time.

It’s so nice to see a beautiful, strong WOMAN (not little girl) deliver such a beautiful, heartfelt performance. I wish we could go back to the golden age of skating. And the U.S. judge was obviously trying to prop up Nancy Kerrigan by underscoring this brilliant program.

I always loved the story about Katarina's fight with the ISU over this costume. They objected to her not wearing a dress and she replied that Robin Hood didn't go running around Sherwood Forest in a skirt!

I can understand how no lutz, silly skirt rules, and unfavourable politics didn't give her much chance to medal, but still, some of those scores were unfairly low. She displayed incredibly agile footwork & edges, maintained speed & energy until the last beat, and had first-rate artistry. Really, the bow & arrow, and the spread eagle, stop, combo spin sequence at the end were just genius choices. I just feel bad that her long program didn't go this well too.

lol, my brothers and I watched this when we were kids, and she was an immediate favorite with them because of skating to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I remember them being like "SHE'S SO COOL!" As for me, I really enjoyed her skating in general, and I've been a fan ever since.

This SP was Katerina's best competitive SP ever. She had improved her presentation and lines so much here after the years touring with SOI and working with Sandra Bezic. I would've ranked this program 3rd; I like this program and performance better than Kerrigan's, but Kerrigan had the 3lutz-2toe combo.

Witt's marks were so low because she skated so early, I think she was like the 1st or 2nd skater that night from what I remember on TV. If she had been lucky enough to draw to skate in the last group, she would have probably gotten higher marks.

4.9/ 5.3 from the U.S judge? Huh? I would've given 5.7/ 5.9. This program and performance were fantastic. I love this program. It was the best SP of her amateur career, and I would say it was Katerina's last great competitive performance. I would put this SP a close 2nd behind Baiu's Swan SP. Kerrigan's was too stiff and mechanical for me.

For me, that was a 5.3/5.8 type of performance. The triple toe was really simple for then, but the rest was very well done. And the presentation was excellent. Those marks were too low, on the whole; especially for presentation. 5.3's!? I don't think so.

I always get emotional watching this. And other thing is that back then, the commentary was just so much better. Verne Lundquist and Scott Hamilton used to make me so emotional with their commentary. Not the case with the people currently doing commentary
