That’s not true. Kate said she had more experience meaning she’s done more than Courtney who doesn’t know how to iron either but you’re picking up on what Simone can’t do. Late systemically bullies stews who are not pushovers and then puts them in places to fail like she did with Caroline, Jen and Simone. Courtney was given preferential treatment and most people know why.

I love Kate, but I think she could have been more constructive in her criticism of Simone. Clearly, she is younger and less experienced but Kate could be more of a mentor than a boss. I think Simone would have been more receptive if Kate would have communicated differently. But that's part of her personality. And Rhiley was right, Kate has little patience but is less physical about it.

Simone told her she had all of this experience the first day, it took Kate a while to realize that Simone didn’t know what she was doing so I’m sure at first Kate thought Simone was just being lazy or not a team player but idk what is more frustrating... having a employee lie about their experience therefore messing up every order and being slow or someone who isn’t a team player. We are seeing things from both perspectives so you have to take into account that Kate was unaware of the real problem. We saw more than Kate saw so it’s easy for us to say what she should have done

Love Simone, she's sassy and smart (and from South Africa like meeeee ❤). She's not a slacker and she worked hard IMO. Thing is, she wasn't experienced in service unfortunately so I partly understand Kate's decision. However, I feel Kate was a bit harsh to her now and again - especially throwing the stripes in her face. That said, I generally love Kate and think she's usually right about people.

Ok you people defending Kate needs to give it a rest. I've watched 4 seasons of this show and I've seen Kate seriously get into it with the following persons: Amy, Rocky, Leon, Ben, Rhylee, Ashton, Caroline, Laura, Simone etc. You lot say the men are this that and the other, and in truth, some of them are quite juvenile. I wish they'd stop with the cave man dog in heat bs. But Kate idk I have conflicting feelings about her. On the one hand she's an excellent stew but other times she's just an insufferable bytch. And as much as the men need to be called out for their crap so do the females. Kate's had nasty blow ups with the men and with the women (see Caroline, Laura, Amy etc).

When you board a luxury yacht then is not the time to feel you need a training course. Simone is not 2nd stew material, I.E. can't open a wine bottle properly, the lemon/lime cutting was atrocious. I have no idea how she got to be a 2nd stew but clearly Courtney deserved a stripe over Simone. Simone can talk herself all she wants but she needs a lot more training. Instead of arguing with Kate she should have kept her mouth shut and shadowed her. Kate is 100% right on this one
