DEAR KATIE, YOU’RE AN EXCELLENT TEACHER, I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. I’M NOT THE SMARTEST OLD WOMAN ON EARTH (75 y/o), AND YOU MAKE IT SO EASY AND CLEAR. I’VE LOOKED AT SO MANY, MANY VIDEOS, AND WAS SO DISCOURAGED, I DID PRAY FOR HELP. AND LO AND BEHOLD , SAW YOUR VIDEO, AND I’M ON MY WAY TO MAKING ME A VEST FOR THE WINTER.

I just successfully crocheted for the first time! I'm a mildly competent knitter and have always wanted to give crochet a go. I've tried following a few other youtube tutorials but I always ended up with a tangled mess. But not today - your instructions are awesome!! I hope you have further parts coming so I can keep learning!!! I made a 10cm square and I'm feeling invincible! Haha!

Thank you so much for sharing your video, I have been trying to learn for over a yr . I have watched many "beginner "videos and never could grasp it ,today you broke it down and showed the "v" slot so to speak to put hook through and I have made so much progress in the few hrs since I've seen your video. Again thank you for breaking it down slowly for this beginner.

Thank you so much for posting these. I’ve been trying my hand at crocheting and I haven’t been able to get past the chain stitch. I’ve watched many videos and I felt so confused...your video has finally given me clarity on which hole to insert my hook once I flip my work. Thank you!! 🧶

I cannot express how I felt after watching this video. Wow! I have been trying to crochet for over a year now, scouring for every single video on KZbin I could find… Nothing! It didn’t help no matter how hard I tried NOPE! I recently came across your Sentro knitting machine videos and has so far watched all of them.😂 I saw this video pop up from your channel and immediately clicked because why not? OMG the way you explain everything just clicks… like it works! Thankyou SO much for this video and now I can finally crochet! (Ps. Pls make more knitting machine vids!)

ha ha ....mine looks like poop! LOL. I am not sure I am getting in the right "v" but at least it looks consistent! Going to have to watch this over again. I used to crochet years ago, so it is starting to come back to me..the motion of going thru one stitch and then 2 to get the single crochet. XO from Canada.

Thank you! The only video that I fully understood. This is my 3rd attempt at making a single crochet patch and it finally came out looking somewhat normal. My main issue was that I was putting the hook through the V/stitch instead of under it.

Love your video, but I'm confused on one thing. I have a learn to crochet book that says in order to make a single crochet you go into the back ridge of the V's. But your video you seem to insert the hook into the V its self from the front. (You didn't spend as much on where exactly to insert the hook for the first single crochet.) If someone could reply and let me know which way I'm suppose to do this that would be amazing. Only thing I'm unsure about the rest of the video is super easy to follow! Thank you ♡

@@Katieree Yes you have to speak of course, I was referring to over explaining. For example, when you was talking about the different crochet hooks you went on too long about how bad plastic hooks are. I mean I get it plastic hooks aren’t the best you don’t have to spend so much time on.

Sorry you feel this way Vedra.
