I have been following a vegan diet with starches for 1 year and my latest blood tests have shown that my HDL is below normal and I have anemia. Are these results normal with the "starch solution"?

Anemia is usually due to blood loss. Dr Mcdougall says you should identify the source and address it. Look up Anemia and iron deficiency on his site

I am unusual, anemic with too much iron. We need a complete iron panel.

@@ritadallas670 Same here, no blood loss, no menstrual, had bone marrow biopsy, too much iron, not iron deficiency, not B12 Deficient

I'm sick of these weight loss videos. It's all you see. No one ever does the flip side, How to Gain weight. Losing weight is Easy, it's simply calorie deficit. Every diet on Earth will work for this and you don't even have to have teeth to do it. But someone like me who has 3/4's of his teeth missing who needs to regain 20 lbs just can't do it on a vegan diet. Not only would the amount of food I'd have to eat be nuts because fruits and veggies are not as calorie dense as meat it would cause me more undue hardship struggling to eat said amount with my bad teeth. Has anyone got hints for me? No one ever does.

Eat on the higher end of the calorie density chart: (I.e. avocado, recipes with cashew cream...cashews and waters blended). I am sure Dr. McDougall has an article on his website about how to gain weight. Please don't lose hope.

Have you heard of smoothies? Do you purée your meat?
@DivergentDroid9 ай бұрын
@@silence1869 I have been known to purée spaghetti and meatballs, steak, ground chuck and fried chicken.
