I love the pacing of LOTR! We cover like 17 years in the first chapter or 2 of Fellowship, then time starts to slow more and more until the end of the trilogy. Sam and Frodo basically spend 48 hours in Mordor going to Mt Doom and it’s half the book lol. For me, it really works and I like that time stretches.

Such a cozy vlogg!! Since I saw you reading manga, i have a book recomondation!! The manga is named uzumaki by junji ito. Its a horror manga about spirals and there are many short storys set in the same world. The stories are crazy but so beautifully illustrated. The perfect pick for the spooky season and a good way to get to know more manga!

This month we're reading the book "The Shadow of the Wind" by Calos Ruiz Zafon in the reading group. For me it's a re-read, but I'm really looking forward to it. Apparently, the mangaka for Yona has said it's entering it's final arc (this was in June of this year), so it may end this year or sometime next year? I can't wait to see you read The Two Towers and hear your thoughts on it. I have never managed to finish it because I hate the style Tolkien used for the plot: separating it into three different sections for each group. I prefer the movie version of moving between them.
