This is the Patti LaBelle influence in her and for another, Joy to the World is special also and it is the holiday season, I promise you, it will ring joy to your world. Also, have you reacted to her I Surrender with Jessica, that is as good as it gets. For a live performance that is just Katrina, Hindi Tayo Pewde on the Wish Bus, this might be the performance you are looking for out of her. Little vocal acrobatics, but some incredible singing and storytelling. The title basically means a love that cannot be, and man, do you feel that despite not knowing the language.

She did the LATIN MEDLEY I think shortly after she got married to the famous drummer/producer, Mike Shapiro, who passed away last November if I'm not mistaken which was very sad. Katrina & Mike collaborated to come out with the LATIN MEDLEY along with famous musicians. It's really worth watching!

For some reason, it took me three days to finish watching your reaction. As usual, it was fabulous. I love how you love her so much you are willing to make an exception for her doing all of those runs, which you don’t normally like, lol. She still manages to bring all the feeling necessary in spite of the showing off. I think the advice you give about having some variety and singing some songs, straight and some songs in this fashion it is is a pretty good piece of advice. Other than that, I think you should watch her Latin medley from a couple of years ago. It really shows what a sensational and versatile performer she is.

Her husband and father within a month passed away, a few years before that her older and only sister passed from cancer. Katrina should just do what she wants, life is short. I'm just glad she lives in a compassionate culture and doesn't need to work to the bone to survive

She was actually married to American producer Mike Shapiro but recently passed away. Mike recorded extensively with Natalie Cole and other artists. He was the Vice president of Berkeley school of music too. Some of the amazing covers of Katrina were produced by Mike

They do tours and concerts in North America, and I might be wrong but it seems like most of the time they are at Filipino festivals. Non-Filipinos are slowly learning of them, thanks to youtube and other social media, but for the most part they are only really known within the Filipino world.

Even in malls,Terminals,Restaurants,Markets,Ships,Bus and etc.There are karaoke machines everywhere. Singing is just a part of our daily lives. When we were just a child we were taught how to sing. Great reaction to "The Beast from the East" as I like to call her. And this ain't the best performance of this song 🤯. I'll venture to say that there are three must see performances of Katrina Velarde, and they are all at the Metrowalk. Her Whitney Houston Medley, Beyonce Medley, and this one, "Somewhere over the rainbow" Not that I need to tell you kind sir, but it's where she put the bar so high, it literally is as you say, her trying to out do herself each time. I agree with you that it seems like she's the Filipino queen of songs. She's so gifted how she could change her tone in deferent ways of sounds. There's a lot of good filipino singers that wasn't discovered and only lately. It's because of videos and talent shows around the world they're talents are being recognized. Filipino singers won AGT in different countries. Pomoy should got the first place in AGT America, but Simon Cowell was not a fan of Filipino's talent.
