Wow. His expressions were amazing. He took linguistic differences in his rakugo. He made most people understand the differences, then he changed the differences which are hard to understand into laugh. This is impossible, without correct orders of explanations and structures. He is not a native speaker, but he accomplished completely. This is extremely fantastic. This is worth for admiring. I LOVE HIM.
I’m Japanese. I wasn’t expecting much from this video because Rakugo is a very Japanese thing. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Sunshine’s performance - definitely not traditional Rakugo, but he’s ‘made the concept his own, in English’. Well done, mate.

I'm an English tutor to Japanese students through Skype, and as my Skype mood I wrote or at least tried (since it couldn't fit whole) the name of Jugemu. And several of my students asked me how did I know about Jugemu. So I told them about your Rakugo performance and sent them this video. They all gave a positive feedback. Excellent work Katsura-sama, ganbatte kudasai!!!

Many years ago I taught English at HOE in Osaka with Bill Crowley who also performed rakugo in English with Shijaku Katsura II. I was lucky enough to see Shijaku perform a few times and am really happy that Katsura Sunshine is keeping this art form alive so English speakers can start to understand Japanese humor.

(ちなみに、この時以降の「よろしく」では出ませんでした...。) これからも応援させて頂きます。
