I moved to Berlin while working in Accenture India with 34.5 L per annum as a DevOps Architect.. here in Germany, starting package will be 60-75k.. tax 43-45% .. Approx cost of living for 2 people.. 1 bhk with parking 1650€ grocery 300€ per month.. Restaurant per week 100€ Cost of clubbing and random shopping per weekend 100 € … gym per month 90€ Rest upto you if you have a car mortgage or other insurance.. Hope this is helpful.

I am able to save € 2500 per month. My mantra was to shift away from big cities like Munich. I moved to a very very small village. My rent went from 1200 to 800 and food came down to €250. I got bigger home than Munich, now my family can join me. So finally, move away from cities, travel to cities on weekends & you will easily save 2000 - 2200 per month.

Hence, 3years =10years=15years=Same salary for the position 2) Salary ∝ (Language+Are you EU citizen!) 3) In India I can hike salary 3 times in 3 years by changing company. But, here TRUST is main factor. This place is not for JOB HOPPERS! 4) I came to EU to earn XXX money in 4-5 years and go back to India. But, I was wrong. This place is for only counting money! I wonder if it's safe to say it's in general a bad idea to come to a country with a big social and public sector like Germany, with plans to make savings in a short period of time, right? The concept of countries like Germany is that you don't need to save fortunes for your own future as you could potentially benefit from the social achievements. A better concept would be to come and stay, to not only pay the high contributions, but also benefit from it. There are a lot of great countries in the world, but if it comes to raising children and having a secure life with your family, European countries are absolutely on top.

I did not forget anything. You should watch the complete video where I have mentioned a miscellaneous amount and also said that this is a standard expense calculation. Well with similiar salaries i saved 2x more than 18k in Berlin! I think there is also tax returns which is significant and depends on how lavishly you want to spend, if you live in a place of 1200 euros you are mostly a couple and then both can work , else you can definitely find cheaper places. Regards groceries and food you can definitely get it lesser than 250.. so again more depends on person to person.
@bongingermany5 ай бұрын
Your statement might be true, but depends on when you stayed in Berlin and how much exactly was your salary. Currently, even the smallest apartment in Munich is 1100 EUR minimum. Grocery prices have gone extremely high because of inflation. And as per your statement, you saved 36k out of 75k salary. Which is quite difficult to achieve, because deductions will be higher if you are unmarried. Close to 40 percent. So out of 45k after tax, you saved 36k, which means you spent less than 1k per month?? In Berlin?

40 percent is not completely tax. It contains many components. One is the pension contribution. Which can be withdrawn completely if you leave Germany before five years. After that, you will get it during retirement. Another component is the unemployment contribution, which you only get if you are laid off by the employer. Rest components are medical insurance and tax, which you cannot get back in cash, but you get back in kind. Some of the tax can be got back as tax return.

clear the interview of any FAANG companies in India with 7 to 8 years experience and your package in India will be more than 1.5 Cr.
@bongingermany3 ай бұрын
yes it is definitely.
@bongingermany3 ай бұрын
FAANG companies do pay high salaries, but there are two points to be mentioned here - 1) you can earn close to a FAANG salary in Germany even in lesser known companies. 2) FAANG companies are the first ones to layoff in mass during recession.
@arvindsingh-qs9kk3 ай бұрын
@@bongingermany Getting a FAANG level salary in Germany is challenging. Even SAP doesn't offer a 1.5 crore package at the T4 level if you've just joined. They typically pay around 110K Euros as a starting salary at the T4 level, which is an expert level that you reach after a minimum of 12 years of experience. I work at SAP in India and will be joining a FAANG company next month. Regarding job security, you are partially right. Until five years ago, there were no layoffs at SAP, but recently we faced three layoffs. Job security in Germany is generally good due to the works council, but that doesn't mean you're 100% secure. Companies ultimately care about their share price, revenue, and profit. I like the way you're enjoying your life. After a certain point, your monthly paycheck doesn't affect your life much. Keep smiling.
@bongingermany3 ай бұрын
@@arvindsingh-qs9kk you didn’t read my comment maybe. My point is not everyone goes to a FAANG company or gets the opportunity in India. The average salary in India is not the same as the average salary in Germany. That’s the difference. And I really didn’t get what you wanted to say in your last statement

Money is not important as our life. We know USA have more savings but what about homeless and drug addict people who just shot people because they refused to give 1$. People are in fear while refuling their cars. And mainly all criminals in USA are targeting Indians because Indians are the wealthiest community in USA. As compare to that germany is far far better you have free masters and can travel to 29 countries. At last life matters not money. After 40 no one gonna ask you how much money do you have in your account?

Germany faced a financial crisis long ago, but the Russia-Ukraine war has worsened the situation. The Nord Stream sabotage has led to gas and oil cuts, increasing the energy crisis. As a result, industry production costs and goods prices have risen, further increasing the cost of current bills.

Hi Kaustav, I must commend your thoughtful and honest videos. Just adding to your above video - I noticed most people who migrate and choose to settle in Europe come with a progressive mindset - for a "better quality of life, safety for their family (especially mother, sisters, and daughters - if you get what I mean), and social security". On the contrary, there are people living in Indian cities making and saving several times more compared to DEU, but can never breathe an ounce of fresh air, inside an over-populated/polluted/unplanned environment. Your education and upbringing really shines in the clarity and kindness of your speech. Cheers to your motherland, Calcutta/WB!!
