During that time (90's) KB sir launched three films under his production banner Kavithalaya in one go ( Vaanamey Yellai..Roja and Annamalai ). All three fiks were non-illayaraja movies and surprisingly all the three movies had more than100 day run in theatres. In a recent interview,.Mani Ratnam had said that he was keen to rope in Illayaraja for the movie Roja, but it seems KB sir was reluctant and hence Dileep Sekar ( ARR ) came into the picture.
