My 8 string has a low B and an extra D on the other side of the fretboard. You can do whatever you want with it tuning-wise. Within reason.

I also recently just got this model, and I agree with you 100% on these pick ups. The guitar in my opinion is worth the money. I think it’s pretty good, and I typically only play Kiesels. So if you want a reasonably priced headless, they’re not bad. But my god, those pick ups are just…not great. The fact they can’t coil split in a 2021 guitar Is just unacceptable IMO, and this cannot cannot do leads to save its life. If you want this guitar, save up to get other pick ups. Beyond that, it’s great.

the pickups are splittable. just not by default. it's a 5 minute mod if you have a soldering iron and a push-pull pot. it also helps lower price for being a barebones guitar.

@@knivedytria if it's just a pot and a quick soldering job, then how does it exactly lower the cost by any justiable amount? I think pretty much everybody would rather have a guitar that can coil-split out the box, even if it bumps the cost up (which it really shouldn't) a few bucks.

And just a little question, i assume that this guitar is in drop e and i know that it's a 27" scale length on the low E string. I'm currently building my own guitar which is a 27,5" and i love looow drop tuned guitars, will this be ok to tune it down to drop F or drop E with a 72 string gauge ? I think that it's the scale length of you sc baritone telecaster

I’ve tuned to drop E on 27” scale guitars with an 80 basically forever so that’s what I’d recommend
