Our comparison dyno at JHS Racing just about coped with the H2R's supercharged output. Our H2R feature is in the next issue, out soon - or now if you're reading this after the 13th October! NOTE - Before the outcry starts regarding the claimed power (326bhp), it is crank-based, not rear-wheel, and the bike is on a slick which saps bhp rear-wheel figures further. On a harder tyre it would have been around 260bhp at the wheel, maybe a bit more, which when you make the crank to wheel conversion would be about bang on.

+m ej Have seen it in person (you can see my KLX140 sitting out by a white trailer on video "H2R at Shannonville") and it is the most obnoxiously loud and insane sounding inline-4 I have ever heard. My 190whp GSX-R 1000 sounds downright tame compared to it.

I thought the one at the NEC for Motorcycle Live pushed over 320bhp on the dyno?

+Tim Cochrane It did, but not rear wheel, that's a far lower reading. It's not wrong the 300+ reading claimed at the NEC, just a different way of measuring it, the same all manufacturers use, they will have factored in the percetange loss or used one of the smoothing software factors to essentially simulate a crank-based reading.

+513MUGSY The dyno stops reading at 200mph, which it did, bike geared to 206mph.

Looks like Kawasaki isn't so truthful about the power out put. Motorcycles lose about 5 to 10% of power through drive line. That's more like 20% (like a rear wheel drive car)

So how a H2R reaches almost 400 km/h if H2 tuned has the same power? I read something about the intake system it's different, so on real street conditions may be the difference it's much more..

Maybe yes maybe not, because kawasaki post bhp=brake horse power which measure directly to the engine while whp=wheel horsepower measure using your tire,this method cause lose of horsepower due to chain,tire and wheel weight,rear brake or friction between tire and dyno wheel

@@cristopheralexander1583 that depends on the rider dare to ride it fast or not or maybe other factor such as the road condition, road gradient, the altitude above sea level, ambient temperature , wind, rider weight, sprocket gearing and others, and where did you don't understand from what explain above?

@@muhammadfadzil3809 so I'm guessing that A stock H2R can go 356KM but a Modified H2 can have more horse power. Theirs a KZbinr that I hate Called BoostedH2 that an H2 that supposedly makes 330ishBHP. And I'm not gonna like it has a lot of acceleration.

That is normal. On crankshaft the power much higher due to less friction. The power loss coming from gearbox, clutch, chain, heat etc.

Those numbers are off.. way off, especially considering the bike was burning rubber on the machine while trying to jump off the damn thing. With traction it should probably be around 280-290

most likely no the throttle didn't open up 100 percent same issue the h2 after 12k the throttle slowly closed with a flash the h2 with no mod on exhaust filter or fuel just a throttle map the bike jump from peaking at 12k at 190hp and stayed there to 230 peak on 14k that whp this bike would make easy 260-70 whp if the throttle stayed open and with traction that bang on the money that a 300hp crank bike

Probably using the launch control thing which is supposed to reduce power of the bike so it doesn't Willie or anything. But the bike was not drag racing so it doesn't make sense.
