For their 1st sport sxs this thing is awesome.... wheels/tires, shocks and suspension, looks, lighting, interior layout and engine were all addressed nicely.... Sure 112hp isn’t huge but for Kawasaki it’s a good start.... They’ll get more out of the engine when they’re ready.... This KRX is an instant competitor in the naturally aspirated sport sxs class and, personally, I think it’s one of the best from the factory.... Good job Kawasaki! Show us the 4 seater!!!

I am soooo glad I waited all this time instead of buying a Polaris!! I’ve refused to buy another Polaris product that stays tore up all the time. Didn’t like the new Honda with its “ smart” 4x4 system instead of just straight diff lock. Now here comes Kawasaki and hits a grand slam!!! I hope Kawasaki takes Polaris to school on how to build a bulletproof reliable machine

Living in Arizona, such as yourself, I can see the top speed being a minor issue for a few reasons. IE, using public roadways to connect trails, faster smooth desert trails riding with faster machines etc. I imagine an ECU re-flash and mild tuning/exhaust might push it up to the 75-80 range. I've been on the fence for a while and have the means to buy anything I want, but the reality is I will probably just trail ride and camp. This might be the ticket, or a Talon.
@DerangedOffRoad
@DerangedOffRoad 4 жыл бұрын
You make a good point about the desert trails, but in reality I believe most spend their time below 50 mph most of the time. So the KRX or Talon are great options for all around use. Either of these machines would be great anywhere. I do believe the KRX will be better in the rocks if you like that kind of riding and the Talon probably has a little better top end speed for open desert. -Garrett

@@edwardcote1331 I have a turbo rzr and yes the extra power really is not necessary unless you have a 4 seater, which I do. Then it is useful for lugging around the extra weight. With a 2seater it's not really needed. I have a 64inch with custom wheel's and tires and the offset on the wheels that puts me close to 72inches. I still fit everywhere in the woods as I did with my previous rzr. I was surprised I really have not had any issues fitting on tight ATV trails

Cage design looks horrible. Not a fan of the wide non-turbo machine idea. Low HP means less track width in my mind. Biggest problem I see is the MSRP. It's up there in the same price range as some turbo machines. Put this next to and X3 (even base) and I bet most take the X3
