I was only able to get my 2007 stock Mean Streak 1600 up to 125mph (speedometer reads 5mph faster than actual speed by radar), so 120 is pretty close to maxed out on this bike. Nice ride.

I am planning on buying an 07 SE Meanie. I could absolutely careless about going 130mph on it. If I cared about top speed, I would have kept with my r6 or got a slightly older r1 / busa. I don't think most people would buy a meanstreak for top end power. They are designed for low end grunt and good handling ( for a cruiser ). Honestly, I think 130 is plenty fast enough for a cruiser type bike...most people will probably never hit over 90. Just my 2 cent's.

It is... Never owned a sport bike, but I've ridden a Ducati Monster, a Ducati Streetfighter, and a Triumph Speed Triple. While those are definitely fun to ride, and quite a bit faster, I still think the Mean Streak has more attitude. Congrats on your MS purchase!!!

@nyinfamous2k2 Thx. That turn is pretty fun, but I really do not like the expressway so I rarely take it. I love how the MS handles and accelerates. It's more of a sportcruiser!

When you are doing 110 and 115, It doesn't look you are passing the other cars by 45 or 55 miles an hour, assuming they are doing 60 or 70 miles an hour. Looks like you are passing them by only about 20 or 30 miles an hour. I don't think the Meanstreak can go faster than 120 mph. Is the bike stock?

i just traded my 08 ms special edition, I hated long rides on it but one thing it had was some balls. but I also had cobra slashdowns, hypercharger pro-r and a dynojet power commander. Still a beautiful bike.

Is it maximum for this bike? As I see, 120 mph was near red zone rpm.

Fastest I ever had it was 128 by GPS. Rev limiter kicks in around 6700 rpm.

might want to check your speed with an accurate gps. The speedometer on my 2002 mean streak is off about 10 mph. Its a great bike though, love mine

I didn't figure that out until I actually had a GPS mounted on my bike. It is about 9 mph off at that speed, so I would have only been doing about 111. Crazy that the speedometers are so far off.

No, that's how they come stock. I mounted the camera on the handlebars and zoomed out a bit to get them in the shot.

It does have some GO... So far, I've had her up to 130, but I haven't let her go to the rev limiter yet (although she was close). The Gainesville Raceway is a great place to get your bike to really open up.

@@victormotorsports06 Mine is not governed. Never heard of this limit before. I just twist the throttle and it goes that fast. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@victormotorsports06 it could be, mine only can go as far as 105-110 and thats it, i was thinking that something was off maybe and i noticed that my tachometer cuts off at 5500 RPM not at 6500 like many people say, do you know anything about this? rev limiter?

I still have this Mean Streak, but since had a Speed Triple, and FJR. Still have the FJR for longer trips. If I were to get a Harley, it would have to be a Screaming Eagle Road Glide CVO. I test rode one in Leesburg and was hooked. Trouble is, I don't have $40,000 for one. Lol.

I been thinking the same mine only reaches about 110 mph and thats it, its stock, but the funny thing i noticed in mine is that the tachometer won´t pass over the 5500 RMP it just stays there not going even close to 6000 rpm, do you know if this is normal or i got myself some sorta problem? maybe somekind of rev limiter?
