2 strokes are lighter but you have to constantly be doing engine work on them. My next ski will 1000000000 percent be 4 stroke!

i had a jet ski that was recently rebuilt with an SBT crankshaft ( sea doo 720) and fresh bore and top end end, only ran about 2-3 hours before engine locked up, PTO side crank bearing had shed its bearing retainer and sent shrapnel through PTO cylinder, turns out SBT uses inferior bearings on their cranks, no more sbt crap for me

The four lines coming out above the jet pump that you showed on your camera can you tell me where the biggest one goes on the engine I can't seem to find where that hose goes it's the biggest fitting out of the four above the jet pump going into the hull

That was a long time ago. ⌛️ We haven't serviced 2 stroke skis in a few years now and I don't recall 🤔. I'm sorry

Could I ask a question about my ultra 150 get out on the water for 30 mins after that the ski goes into limp mode it only gives me about %50 power only revs to 3000 but once you take it out of the water the ski will rev right out no problem

It's been a while since we've had 1 of these to work on. Also they're weren't many that came in needing repair..Probably due to possibly not many in our area and they seemed pretty reliable overall. We work on such a variety of watercraft it's hard for me to remember all of the failure causes on some non current units. Fuel demand is less when out of the water and a lien condition could be causing an overheat issue possibly seeing limp mode..but🤔 I'm not certain these have a limp mode. I'm Sorry I just do not recall much on the 150's

Why you put in a new motor and use the same old plugs there like a few dollars and they were watered down.

This is the 2cnd video youve commented on. We have had great employees and not so great employees. I have been that as well time to time over 25 years. You don't know me and never will. Why is it people like you get on the web and just surf to inject negativity? This world has enough already. Thanks for watching hope it helped in some way positively.

Hard to understand an engine unless you open it up. SBT doesn't know crap anymore. There are more and more shops refusing to install an SBT engine and we are now among those.

@@areliablesource4558 they are building junk.. engines failing on testing immediately after installation. There staff in engine rebuilding doesn't do a good job.. 2 of there engines in 2 months and I had to remove and send both back before customer even paid the bill.

That pisser isn't flowing nearly enough.
@steveprice56644 жыл бұрын
Oh, yea, the carbs have pop-off valves in them for the oil lines. They tend to stick sometimes, they should open at about 4 PSI and should be tested when the carbs are serviced.
@jh383zx6 жыл бұрын
Those air filters will make the ski run uncontrollably lean unless those are aftermarket carbs or they have been modded to run with those
@hotheadzmarine6 жыл бұрын
VP racer959 your correct. Carbs have been fattened up. No lien condition exists. Thank you and God bless
@jh383zx6 жыл бұрын
Lewis Walker how did y’all fatten up the carbs? I’m curious for tuning mine
@hotheadzmarine6 жыл бұрын
Drill the jets, get yourself a welder tip cleaning drill set, will have like .0635 down thru .0225 bits. find the one that fits the current HS jet, go up 2 sizes carefully. Here in Texas not a big difference due to lower elevations but I wouldn't go up more than 2 sizes on stock with just filter mods.
