I’m surprised to say i found myself enthralled! I have never done any mechanical work so I am in awe of those who do. Also very nice mods to your bike! I hope one day to ride a 1000SX and if it’s right, buy one to travel long distances in the USA (where i live). Norway looks amazing!

Looks like Norway! :) I have 33 and 67 error on my July 2017 ZZR1400 PF. I've repaired the fraying (cause of the short circuit) to the cables going into the O2 sensor but still have the error 67. Will try this to clear it! Thanks.

Hi Thanks for this video. It got me out of trouble with a dealer, Traiding in my 2018sx which has Black widow decat exhaust and told dealer I would put standard back on to part ex it while doing this thought it would be a good idea to start bike with fairings of to make sure exhaust was OK. But forgot to plug in oxygen sensor 🙄.

Excellent work. I have a Vulcan S 650 which appears to have the same problem with O2 sensor. I have just started the diy rout of maintaining the bike and I don't have the right tools yet. So it is at the service center (hopefully under warranty) this time. Would you be able to help with the details of the adjustable torque wrench you are using in this video please ? I think it is a must have piece of tool.
@ConnieTh3 жыл бұрын
Thank You! 😊 I have three wrenches, 6-30Nm, 20-100 Nm, 40-210 NM. These cover everything on my bike and car. On the bike the highest torque so far has been the front sprocket, believe it was 125 Nm. It should be possible to find one wrench covering the bike alone. Just remember to turn it back to zero after use 👍

@@ConnieTh Thanks. How is the response after replacing the O2 sensor? Do you notice any change in performance, fuel economy and exhaust note ? The Kawasaki spare part is really expensive here (India). There is similar replacement available from Bosh auto parts at 1/3 rd the cost.
@ConnieTh3 жыл бұрын
@@umeshr3054 I did not drive that long with the error code, but the O2 "sensor measures oxygen in the exhaust, and that value the ECU uses to determine the optimal fuel mixture. Otherwise, your engine will burn rich or lean. Depending on the deviation ... this might cause different problems
@umeshr30543 жыл бұрын
@@ConnieTh I get that. Apologies for the confusion. My question was related to the after market O2 sensor part. Was there any difference in performance, mileage or sound of the bike after using the aftermarket part? Just wanted to know your experience using it. The service center official says that the failure happened because I used the bike in rain. I find it hard to accept. Vulcan S is like a baby cruiser. It is supposed to withstand the rain they were mentioning. If it cannot, then there is absolutely no chance that it could withstand a pressure wash. But it looks like it is a part that will fail frequently. In that case I'll go with the after market part from the next time. My bike would be out of warranty by then.
@ConnieTh3 жыл бұрын
@@umeshr3054 The universal sensor works perfectly on my bike! I just checked the spark plugs and they look nice. Will be making a movie about it soon. There was a noticeable difference in sound after I changed the sensor, it is probably because the original sensor did not work. I mention that in the video. Most likely you will not notice any difference. The problems with the sensor started after washing the bike, and I do not use high pressure. O2 sensor on a motorcycle should definitely withstand water! I was offered repair on warranty which I mention in the video.

@ConnieTh3 жыл бұрын
no unfortunately but i'm pretty sure you can use any sensor as long as it has 4 wires. I will replace the spark plugs and make a video of the process, then we will see if the sensor gives the correct mixture

Jag förstår att du fixar själv när garantin har gått ut men när du har garanti kvar så kostar det inget och de gör jobbet! Kan vara en fördel när du säljer den att det är originaldelar och gjort av en auktoriserad verkstad....
@ConnieTh3 жыл бұрын
