I landed an 18 pound female steelhead on the Lower Dean river with a broken tip of my rod; it broke off about a foot of my rod. Sage fixed it. Steelhead are not as strong or as nasty as the fish you landed!! Great job! Must be a lot of fun. Aren’t you afraid that a shark might attack your kayak?? Keep it up and be safe, Tom Purtzer

Need advice Robert: you have solidified my choice of boat. A kayak would be best for my style of fishing here in arizona. I can take it anywhere. What would be the best budget one to start with? I want a drive style something I could use in rivers lakes shallow and deep. I'm not going after sharks yet.

Was that another rig and bait in the shark's mouth at 21:34 ? Another awesome video man!
@YakFishField7 жыл бұрын
Yeah so I couldn't tell until I watched the footage, but there was half of a jack crevalle hanging off one hook on the vertical jig, and the shark had the other in its mouth. I'm guessing the jack hit, the shark sensed the fight, it came up and took half the jack off in one bite and caught the extra hook. They were all over!

+Someone Else how can you say that without knowing where the fish went? About 1/3 was consumed by our group of 10 over the next couple days and the other 2/3 went to the locals, who aren’t blessed with the same luxuries and lifestyle that you probably enjoy. We put food on the table for a number of kids that may or may not have had anything to eat otherwise. Maybe we have differing views, but to me, there’s nothing sad about that.
