I have recently have lost 21 lb on account that I have a lifestyle change. And this time, I've decided to have protein smoothies for both breakfast and for lunch, eating sensible snacks in between, and having a sensible dinner as part of my weight loss regimen. I've also Incorporated exercising on the treadmill for 4 out of 5 days a week to help as well. I will definitely replicate these smoothie recipes this month alone. Thank you for the content. I have been making the orange creamsicle smoothie with a few drops of young living orange essential oil…. It’s soooooo good! And replacing raw cashew butter for the almond butter makes it extra creamy …… THANKS for all your awesome 🤩 videos!!!!! You eat just like I do!😂 Sooooo fun!

I’m going to try all 5. I printed out the recipes and put the ingredients in our online groceries order! Plus I ordered the collagen powder and matcha powder from Amazon. Kids are excited to try the pink one :)

Wow all these smoothies are great and simple. I love to do shakes daily and have a go to, but these are going to now be incorporated into my regimen. My son is type 1 diabetic and he loves smoothies, healthy ones. I dont add any bad stuff and always make sure there is some kind of greens in them. So these seem to be low In sugar and have many health benefits. Thank you so much for sharing these, it is much appreciated.

I made the beet smoothie using "Love beets" ready to eat mini beets, fresh ones are hard to find, I added a small piece of ginger, flax and a scoop of Orgain. It was soooo good! You are correct. Collagen powder is not a complete protein but you can buy it mixed with whey protein which makes it a complete protein. I use one called Keep it cleaner (which is the brand) collagen protein powder (20 gm complete protein and 10 gm collagen). I buy this in Australia but maybe you can source it or one similar where you are.

If you like turmeric you might wanna try a drink i kinda made up for myself. Its choc almond milk heated up like hot choc then add the turmeric and a lil black pepper. I know it sounds odd but its amazing. I love to sit and just sip on it. Its really a treat. 😊

Tysm! I like to make my own but if I don’t have time, I’ll use the simply organic brand from Kroger or Malk brand. Main tuning is avoid those with carrageenan.

I have hated beets since birth -- texture, taste. :) Granted, I've only tried them from a can, which is probably a mistake. I'm going to try this recipe with fresh beets to see if it changes my opinion. I'll let you know!! Thanks Kayla!

Wanted to wait before I commented on this video because I wanted to try all 5 of these shakes and they did not disappoint. I'm not a fan of beets, but this shake, once you get over the beet taste, it was actually good. The lemon juice in it really made this shake shine. Even though all are good, if had to pick a favorite, it would be the one with the orange and a close second would be the one with the strawberries. The only suggestion I would make is to add ice to some of these to make them colder, but I prefer a colder shake vs. warm/room temperature. Thanks Kayla for these shake options!

Out of curiosity what other option can you use other than flax, hemp or the other seed? I personally can't digest it? Also does regular milk work as well? I'm slowly leaning working on minimizing animal products but still haven't gotten use to some of the milk alternatives.

You can sub those with any other type of healthy fat, including avocados and nut butters (if you can digest those). Also, I think it's worth pointing out that hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds are much easier to digest than chia and flax seeds. Additionally, if you use ground chia or flax (instead of whole), it's much easier to digest that way too. Just FYI ;) And, yes, you can use regular milk for these smoothies. If possible, get organic to avoid added hormones. Water also tastes good with these smoothies.

I need to be keeping track of my protein for Postmenopause reasons, but the the collagen powder(the same one you use) and any of the protein powders I have tried make me feel very unwell. If I don’t add the protein powders here are they still high protein? And how much would I subtract from the protein you have listed by taking out that ingredient?

You should not cut off the skin. Most of the nutrients from beets are found in the skin.
