We stopped kissing... (Boundaries Update & Q&A Part 2)

Hi guys! Yes, you read the title correctly, in this video we answer your question about dating boundaries and give some insight on why we personally decided to stop kissing. This was a personal decision guided by the Holy Spirit's conviction in our life, and we wanted to share it bc maybe there is another couple out there struggling with lustful desires and not knowing why or how to deal with it. This is not to say you should 100% do this bc the Holy Spirit guides everyone in their relationship, but just sharing some light on what has been happening to us as we want to encourage you through the lessons we have learned as individuals and as a couple bc that is what this channel is about. The ultimate solution as the Bible says is to get married (1 Corinthians 7:9), which we are planning to do soon, but in the meantime God lead us to do this. We hope that in sharing our journey with you it can edify and help you as well, especially if you feel that the Spirit is leading you to put these boundaries in your relationship (or future relationship) as well.

As a woman that’s been married and has 5 children. Kissing is the perfect foreplay. Maybe the best intro. It’s not really an expression of “I’m trying to find out or let you find out whether we are a match for life” It’s more of an expression of “I’ve chosen you to keep” which makes it a great tool to use people or love the one that you’ve proved it to by proclaiming your stand to them and all others in a marriage ceremony.

Believe God began speaking to me on this in 2021. Still single but think God has been preparing me and guiding me on discipline and godly conduct in courtship before He sends me my mate. Especially when trying to prevent any temptation that could lead to sin. I really want to honor God in my relationship leading up to marriage, and as a person whose love language is physical touch, it's best I hold off kissing til wedding day!

Thank you for this it confirms what God has put on my heart for our relationship and it is worth it and will be:) I was curious though, you mentioned 2 or 3 years? I was wondering if there is a specific reason you both are waiting and dating long to marry if you both know God has spoken?

Glory to God for that! And the reason we have waited longer than 1 year is because we wanted to both be finished with college and have a career o be able to sustain ourselves when married (since marriage also implies being able to sustain ourselves and a home together). When we started dating Ernesto was still in college and now he is finishing this summer and then we will save up to be able to live together once we are married and sustain ourselves :) -- Trust me, if it were up to us we would have gotten married already but we do want to do things right and God's way, which includes preparing ourselves to be able to sustain a home once we are married. We have been praying for years for God to guide us on when to get married, and are actively working to make it happen sooner rather than later! Thank you for asking, hopefully that makes it clear!

No It’s not a sin BUT it can lead to sin (lustful thoughts, desires and even falling into temptation if limits aren’t put into place) - the Bible encourages all of us to flee from sexual immorality and for us we felt convicted by the Holy Spirit to cut it out completely to help control the lustful desires. So we encourage everyone to pray about it and let the Holy Spirit guide you on whether or not you want to kiss or not in relationship until marriage. Anything that causes and leads us to sin is not worth it, so for us that was kissing and we cut it out - however, doesn’t mean it’s the same conviction for someone else. We just personally after a lot of prayer decided to just stop completely to resist temptation. And the great part is that this is temporary 🎉 hope that helps answer your question!

You guys are amazing.l just want to open our minds to understand that negative thoughts n dreams are not attacks from d devil.You seems to magnify d devil which l feel it's not right.As humans our emotions n thoughts come to our minds we get victory from God's word. As married couples we may dissagree or argue that does mean it's an attack,it's natural considering you both are coming from different backgrounds. Setting boundaries are very ok,however it not advisable to date for too long.,
