I learned something from this beautiful story. I was once listening to a motivational inspiration featuring Steve Harvey and he was just saying God gives us the promise but he does not give us the details, and he went further to say "Imagine if God told you you would be rich in August 2021! He said imagine how you would start talking to people! Anyway, when I was listening to this story, especially Hunter's side of the story, I realized the burden of a promise, as exciting as it is to get a promise from God, it is also tempting for us as humans to try to take over and take control and make things happen. I also learned that when God gives us a promise, we might think we are ready, but until he gets us ready he will never give us his promise until he has done his work in us.

The burden of a promise from God. Never thought of it that way but that's well stated. I'm reminded of the promise of a child to the barren Sarai in the Bible. In the burden of God's promise, they tried to rush the waiting and Ishmael was born out of the impatience for God's timing. God is often preparing us, the way for us, or other people to receive us in the waiting. I recently had the reverse of the experience of their love story when a girl told me she got a prophetic word that I was to be her husband. She told me on the second date after the person who gave the prophetic word told her not to. We dated for a year and a half. During that time she tried to rush things so we could hurry up and get married and have kids and create our life together. I prayed for confirmation about it throughout the relationship and eventually God told me "you are not hers, you are mine, and I have not given you to her." I felt that God was saying that he was preparing us both to be who he needed us to be and who we needed to be for each other. She continued to pressure me and force God's timeline while I was trying to take things slow and respect the word God gave me. Eventually things self destructed and we are no longer together. Unfortunately, a figurative Ishmael outcome. God knows the plans he has for us, not to harm us, but to give us a hope and a future. Sometimes we must put our faith into action by keeping our flesh in check when we want to rush God's plans to come to fruition within our desired timeline. One of the most burdensome experiences is waiting on the LORD while carrying the burden of a promise he has given us. Do not grow weary in well doing for you will reap a harvest in due time.

I too had poor guidance by my parents. I dont recall learning anything from them other than their example of being a couple. They were like a fluke match made in heaven. They had no bad experiences to to warn me of with regards to relationships. Nor did they tell me about the importances of marriage before having children. Regardless, I am grateful to have survived the struggle of my life that I will be passing on the wisdom that I've gained to my children.

The part when you shared how you were falling in love with your wife when she didn't know you yet but you were getting to watch her live her life and who didn't know you fall for you- it was as if God gave you that experience of how Jesus knew His bride and is waiting and watching and is already in love with His bride, but yet she has yet to know Him and eventually grow to love Him back. I really wish I grew up much more sheltered than I did, there is so much pain in sin. God makes me happy by telling me He can still purify me. I don't think non-believers at all understand what we're going through. We WANT this purity so bad and God is the one who comes with love and kindness _and power_ to create this and sustain this in us and I feel so touched and comforted. Have you ever dreamt someone you love has died and then later during the day suddenly realized it's not true? If you've ever lost someone you know how much you just wish to problem-solve their death but there is mo way to do that. So when you have a dream like that - the happiness and relief of realizing the truth at some point during the day is absolutely amazing. It's a very intense, positive thing. This is how I feel when I remember God's goodness, love and power. When I mourn because of the sins I've done and what they've done for me and how much I want this purity I ruined in myself, and then remember His goodness and power - it's that sort of feeling. Very intense, positive feeling. I'm so thankfull. So comforted and calmed down and relieved.

Jesus is writing my love story now for the last year and two months I have been in a long-distance relationship with my queen. The thing that makes this special for us is we are in an inter-abled relationship, I have cerebral palsy and my partner is normal. Our relationship is also intercultural as my partner is a Filipina. We have a long way to go to be together in America but with Jesus in control, there have been signs over and over again from day one that he set this up! She is 47 and I am 46. I too came from a broken household, so it was/is a bit hard to believe (sometimes) that a relationship like this can come true. Christian online dating can be really stressful and sometimes fruitless, so I find myself losing hope quite often. Today though, God guided me to Luke 16, and then this video. And I would say to you Hunter, I probably would’ve given up a long time ago on pursuing who you call your wife now. I commend you for continuing to go forward. I don’t know if I would have had it in me to take that rejection and then try once more. I don’t know if I’ll ever hear God’s voice say to me ‘this is the one’ or anything around those lines, but I do pray to get the same kind of chemistry that you two radiate towards one another. I remember when Dante Duffy was at our table and somehow discussion came up that Georgia wanted a word for clarity and she didn't say what, but Dante was sure that the Lord would give him a word. It was about how she was wondering about her future spouse, but God had him for her, and went on to talk about what God had in store (and I got the impression that this guy was at CFNI and that she was wondering about someone specific which was probably you at that point). And God wanted to speak worthiness into her. Not too much later I saw you guys talking at the lunch room and I thought there could be something there. So awesome!

I absolutely enjoyed watching this video. Love the prayer and will definitely be praying that prayer. I prayed for my husband and God showed me where I'd meet my husband. I ended up meeting this man who matched the person I saw in the dream and got with him in an ungodly way. We got engaged and had a child together. Covid hit and we both suffered tremendously from it - he lost his job permanently and I was laid off for months, so we postponed the wedding. I hoped to get married after our daughter turned 3yo, so she can be the flower girl. He got a job in Canada, so we've been separated for little over 1year. During this time, we'd both slack off in some areas, which led to us having a lot of arguments. I ended things a few times and went back to him after only days, as I would miss him a lot. Our daughter is 2months shy of 3yrs old and my fiance broke up with me just weeks ago. I was hurting so much to the point where I thought I was going to die. That's when I told myself that the feeling wasn't healthy and is definitely not from God. I started to fast and pray daily about us. During that time, God gave me this sincere peace that I've never before felt after a break up. I was first praying that God would bring us back together, but ultimately let His will be done. To encourage myself, I started watching videos of how God joined people together. I told God that I really want to spend the rest of my life with this man. During this time, I asked my fiance a few question and his answer to one, led me to let go completely. I told myself that if he's really the husband that God gave me when I prayed years ago, then nothing will be able to separate us and he'll be back. After that, I dreamt that he'd marry a woman who'd appear as a really good person, but she turned out to be a bad woman later in their relationship and I told him. He was hurt, as I told him that I wouldn't allow our daughter to live with him due to the dream. He was so hurt that it hurt me. I then started to pray for the strength to stay alone and dedicate my life to God for the rest of my life and for him to find a good wife, who loves God and will build him up in God. Watching this makes me truly realise that neither of us was at the place that God wanted us to be and this separation may just be so that the Lord can prepare us to be better for God's work and for each other. When we were still together, he had told me that he was getting dreams that made him think he's suppose to preach the Word. I have always wanted to be a woman of God and to be used in whatever way God sees fit, but I truly have a passion for helping people. I really hope God will strengthen us spiritually and set us on our path with Him. Though I'd love if the Lord brings us back together, I'm prepared to do God's will above all else. **Thank you for sharing your story!**

I think. I THINK God just confirmed His word to me through this video. I was just like this lovely lady and did not care for a relationship, then found the one. It was the best time of my life, the most glorious, the most spirit filled, it was heavenly. We both just knew. Then it fell apart. My parents divorced and I was caught in the middle, going through extremely confusing emotional turbulence. My feelings for my boyfriend went up and down like a rag doll being tossed around. We got engaged, I broke up, git back together, broke up twice again, tried to be just friends, and most recently, I cut things off. Why the confusion? Bevause He has had many confirmations from God and has NO doubts. And I have had several experiences and words from the Lord and trusted Christian councellors all leading me toward marriage. "He has torn us that He may heal us," and "for the vision waits the appointed time," are the words God gave me. Because of the hard year I've gone through its been hard for me to believe he might truly still be the one. But this video I think confirmed the words. "Trust God's timing." Thank you Jesus!!!!!
