I remember watching this video for the first time in 2011, or maybe 2012, and how much I learned as a budding digital artist just from watching it. While my style today is completely and entirely different from this, the lessons I learned from it and from your other videos changed how I learned to draw, and I'm not sure what sort of artist I would be without them. I don't know if you check this anymore or if anyone still watches these videos, but still-- thank you for the years of inspiration, especially for a young artist who had very little support.

My god this is beautiful. I always love your speedpaints, I feel like it helps me in my own art, seeing some little shortcut or detailing effect that I don't add to my own artwork, truly inspiring. Keep it up Kaylink.

There's the weird part of youtube, there's the games and stuff, and then there's all the art like this, which for some reason really makes me relax. You're very good at drawing Kaylink, keep up the good work :D

I knew what both of these songs were the second I heard the first few beats--and was able to go through the lyrics in my head LOL. Great music, Great Speedpaint. Nothing is better than this.

I usually dont watch speedpaints all the way through, but the music I LOVED IT, and the drawings and stunning colors kept me watching until the very end. It told a story of some kind. :3

I LOVE YOUR ARTWORK. SO MUCH. The shading is so beautifully detailed and the lighting is just perfect. Your pictures are always so full of life and your music choices match the aura of the image incredibly well. I can't wait to see your next masterpiece X3 Keep up the great work!

kay when you resized the paw pad then drew over it again, i was so happy to see you actually payed attention to it. whenever i see someone do that, they never redraw over it to make the line smoother! quite the pet peeve of mine. its great to see some more speedpaints from you, i love watching them! i learn quite a bit uvu

I finally figured out what the instrumentals were. Pocket full of sunshine and shake it. :D The picture was so pretty! You inspire me to work harder at my art. I draw animals relatively well (I wish I could say the same for people) and sometimes I just run out of inspiration. But I love watching people like you make amazing artwork and it gives me inspiration again.

@Finchday 1) Just the standard Photoshop hard brush. 1 pixel size I think. 2) Not sure what exactly you're reffering to. My shading is just done the standard way, on multiply layers, and the highlights are on soft light/overlay layers.

@pivotamster321 Yes; in Photoshop you can add as many layers as you want and change the opacity of each, so it's easy to draw over a scanned-in sketch. From what I know, quite a few artists draw this way, while others do it completely on the computer.
