There was a lot of 90s movies like this that treated kids like stupid morons and trying way too hard to be hip and cool at the expense of telling a bad story in the process. These movies include: Jumanji Star Kid A Simple Wish Kazaam Space Jam Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie Super Mario Bros: The Movie The Wizard Batman and Robin Jingle All The Way The list goes on. Overall, It's very sad that while people were getting stuff like Good Will Hunting , Pulp Fiction, Jurassic Park, Goodfellas, Forrest Gump, and The Shawshank redemption, those people's children were mostly being offered mind numbing crap by corporate suits who don't know anything about children. What they offered ranged from too scary (Jumanji) and too stupid (Kazaam) Granted there was some good films like Matilda, but most of the crap as mentioned above raided every child's VHS collection of the time, and it's very sad.
