Honestly, as much as I *adore* watching this channel covering re guns(I love re as is so getting more lore, especially for the weapons, is great), but covering guns outside the series is also great, even if sticking to the same genre, I do hope you explore more interesting weapons from other series, and thanks again for these vids

Evil Within is incredibly blunt with its depiction of psychology and characterisation. A character's use of a revolver inferring that they are a person firmly rooted int the past and unwilling to let go is one of the most stock pieces of weapon characterisations you can find in any fiction made after 1911, but it fits with the schlocky mood of the game.

ah, but the revolver is also really good for showing the impossibility of all the upgrades you do, being an early hint to you not being in the real world... like, how in the hell are you gonna increase the ammo capacity of a revolver? there's no extending your mag there because there's no mag in the first place, and you can clearly see it's still holding only 6 bullets the whole time, even when it says it's holding a literal dozen.

it's interesting how the designs of the outfits, architectures and weaponry are a mix between different time periods in the TEW games. in TEW1 for example, this is noticed in the amish-styled architectures of the countryside villages seen in the first chapters of the game , with hostile villagers still using torchs, scythes, axes , carriages etc with also the victorian design of Ruvik's mansion and the style of the Ruvik family outfits while Krimson city have prohibition-era Chicago or New york styled buildings. most guns are also ancient styled plus the cool things about revolvers is that they're mechanically more effective than semi-auto mag-feed pistols, they generally never jam, are more accurate, and the ones with longer barrels tends to be more powerful. maybe that Connelly have old-school tastes, but his revolver did came in handy during Sebastian's journey inside Ruvik's world, both as a cool looking gun and a pretty effective one

I never thought you would move out of Resident Evil, but picking Evil Within was a great choice, Evil Within 1and 2 is definitely survival horror, Sebastian's revolver was fun to eliminate my enemies in both games, it really felt like I was using an revolver from the old west, Sebastian's revolver was a great gun to cover KendoGunShop you did a great job ✌️

This is an example that there's no need to just stick to resident evil series weapons, beacuse kendo will always make sure to put a lot of effort and information to weapons from other games. Very apreciated video kendo, keep the good work!

There was The Evil Within 3 in Nvidia's database, but the ID changed to Ghostwire Tokyo, so I suppose they worked on it but dropped the project, or decided it's better to release a new title first, gain new followers, and then release TEW3 for bigger audience

What a pleasant surprise indeed! Always love a good revolver in a game and this one was no exception. I personally never upgraded the ammo capacity for a slightly more authentic feel. After all, a guns not just about shooting, it’s about reloading.

i still play TEW1 & 2 to this day, time to time. this series is an excellent alternative to Resident Evil in the Survival-horror with TPS style and nice atmosphere. i found the mix between mid-20 century outfits, architectures and weaponry, with some victorian and rarer 21 century modern stuff in the universe of the game very interesting , it adds a gritty and schlocky vibe in the games. that revolver represent well the TEW universe to itself. i also love how the revolver have a lack of stopping power in the begin but thanks to the chair powered by green gel (and the working tables in TEW2), we however can upgrade the firepower (and critical hits) of that revolver, so then it allow us to show to such monstrosities the real power of the 45. ACP round. that's just plain cool. Happy Halloween by the way!

Seeing TEW1 on Kendo is a VERY pleasant surprise! TEW was kinda clanky when it came out, but i think it got seriously underrated by critics and fans. I found it very fun and the things it did were pretty interesting! Also like the idea that TEW and RE exist in relatively the same universes, KendoGunShop being the bridge between them.

At the beginning of the game I maxed this revolver with the help of a trainer and I wiped out the starting swarm of enemies. This gun is pure beast mode maxed out only had to reload twice

I own a S&W 1917 revolver. Very cool but it needs moon clips to eject the .45 acp casings since theyre rimless. These moonclips are easily bent and a huge pain in the ass.

I got an old LAPD colt revolver and it's got the LAPD emblem on the frame similar to this one as well saying for law enforcement only under it, it's pretty accurate to the one in the game so I'm guessing they used similar revolvers like the one I got as reference

Since this weapons analysis was quite a surprise in a Resident Evil weapons channel, I also would like to see an analysis of the agony crossbow as well, and I would love to see in terms of another iconic weapon in the action horror genre is the Dead Space plasma cutter, maybe as a sci fi special analysis.
