Thank you for the video. Just one question for the ear monitors app. How to give permission to someone to set up the FOH. from the app... Because accidentally everyone can set up the main mix....we don't know how to solve that case,

We use the x32 Rack version with xlr splitters for every Input, so we can Use our premixed IEMs and record always via X Live and sd card. So we really need a stable WiFi connection. We use a 19" rack router (Swisssonic Pro) which is not disconnecting Apple devices (some routers so) and also hide the SSID.Hiding the SSID is useful on stage so you avoid the router being flooded by init/Info requests from all the devices in the audiance. If you experience connectivity issues on stage then consider hiding the SSID (sometimes referred to as "Broadcast SSID"

At my church we used to use the X-32 monitor app(forget exactly what it's called) until they stopped updating it. Worked wonderfully but you can't use it with the newer versions of iOS. I think I may have screwed up an iPad because I didn't update it(the iPad) for fear the monitor app would be useless. We(mainly myself) still use the mix app and would love recommendations for a good monitor app. Haven't finished the video yet so we'll see.

Follow up: So I actually have both the X-32Q(the monitor app I couldn't remember) and the M-32Q app installed on my phone. I think when I did the M-32 app I wasn't aware of the relationship between the X-32 and M-32(still don't understand it), and wasn't immediately convinced that was the way to go. I will have to take another look at the M-32Q (especially at church) and see if that doesn't work for me/our worship team. Any suggestions would still be appreciated.

Hello there drew I know you had a video once on safe parameters and scene safes. Everything works on my system but the problem I have is that I don’t know how it got there or works the way it does and it’s tough knowing this is a feature that can be used but you dare not change it because you have no idea what’s going to happen. Now if you did this you just can’t bomb through there. You would need to go slow ior shall I say carefully because if somebody’s watching it or trying to learn it you can’t fly through it like everybody knows it otherwise they wouldn’t watch it. The problem I have had is for example is say one of my first singers name was Dave and then trying to change it to John and all of my other scenes the first name changes to John also and also like making sure that you want your routing to stay the same for every scene I know it is kind of half backwards on the way you think safes work but a very very intense video would be helpful on the safes and parameter safes would be great

Is it possible to limit the access on some setting on phone/tablette . So some phone connected can only have access to bus 1 and other only bus16 and on some tablette only have access to PEQ / dynamic functions and not to other setting like routing, FX, ....

Yes. When setting up each device you have total control over which controls they have access to. It's a screen that shows up with all the options and you just tick the features you want the device to have access to. There is an "access all" box too if you trust the person lol.

Hey man Quick question. When i set up my iPad with the x32 sometimes my iPad and the app disconnect from the router and a couple seconds later it connects again but I'm not able to see what the channels are named or anything like beforehand

Try a 5g router. They seem to be able to handle it well. And I don't think it transfers the names of the tracks to the ipad. You have to rename them on the ipad itself.

Little update on the remote apps for x32/m32. Music group just starting releasing beta versions of the new MX mix app for these consoles. Mixing station is also an AWESOME third party app you can use too.

Does the router have to have internet? I’m about to lead worship at a venue where their modem is not near my sound board. Can I do a closed network just for my musicians and still control mixes on the app without internet connection?

No the router does not have to have internet. It's a closed network. Use the LAN port. Not the WAN port.

Does the mixer need its own router? Like we wouldn't be able to use a router than is currently being used for internet

You should not connect your mixer to anything that has a direct line to the internet. It can be easily hacked by unsavory individuals. For security of your mixer, it should be in it's own self contained environment (a router just for it).

The mixer should not show red on the main meter how do you avoid that when using an inbuilt mixer processor with out the rack processor or drive rack

Can we restrict musicians using this app to monitor section only to adjust their mix? They should not be controlling front hall or changing other parameters intentionally or unintentionally. Or we have a separate app for musicians?

Yes the x32 allows you to set the parameters that they have access to. You actually can give them full access if you choose. That's a feature for musicians that do their own mixes from on the stage. Easy to just uncheck the boxes you don't want to give access to.
