Being able to adjust my own in ear mix is such a big help!

Agreed! If only I had done this research before, or while we did church in the park all summer, we used the MX-Q app and couldn't see the channel names of what we were adjusting. LOL! -Nathan

Hey! This is completely off topic but two years ago you made a video about the octo mk2, and used pixel tape with it. I was wondering if you knew what tape you used, we’re trying to scale something down, and pixel tape is the best solution, but which ever one i got didn’t want to act right. it was wsb12 compatible, and have the correct wires, but couldn’t get it working, thanks!

Hi Andrew, I primarily use WS2812B LED Strip, and Yes the OCTO is the primary Pixel Controller that I use. Email me if you still have questions, I also have a video coming out on the OCTO MKII Controller next week. -Nathan

On the x32 are you using the ip address as read on the x32 in setup, or the ip address of the router? Through mixing station
@CrazyAmazingDesignsАй бұрын
You want to check the IP address of the x32, Setup->Network. -Nathan R

I've been mixing live for 30+ years and have tried about every app available. Everything I've found for the overpricedpad and adroid is so terribly limited. Just layers and layers of oversized controls that you have to keep switching though to find all your channels. X32 Edit gives you so much control in just one layer I don't understand why anyone would use anything else. Just switch to the Channel tab on the top row and some of my tablets gives me up to 25 channels on one layer, including access to many of the channel controls. Even all 16 bus sends are available, at first I thought they would be too small to be useful but once I tried I found them easy enough to use. Other tabs across the top give you access to every parameter of every control. Once a show is going I can attach a keyboard and mix with only the arrow keys. I do wish they would do some more updates but even as is X32 Edit beats all other programs I've tried for live mixing hands down.

I agree! x32-edit is Fantastic, I've been told Mixing Station on mobile is similar. Thank You for sharing your experiences. :) -Nathan R

Thanks for this video! I'm trying to set my X32 Compact up using the X32 Edit software. I'm running into an issue where I try to rename the channel and set the input channel but it doesn't show the input label as it should. For example its channel 1, I can change the name on the channel just fine but it will not take the input source of local in 1. I can change it to others and it works fine. Any thoughts on what I could look at?
@CrazyAmazingDesigns10 ай бұрын
Hi, It sounds like the source of the channel is set to something other than the channel number. So when you set channel 1 to "LOCAL IN 1" for example, it's not actually channel 1, because the source could be set to some other input. This used to be the best way to move channels around. -Nathan

Issue I have with MX-Q app is that it hasn't been updated for ~4yrs. That is also the reason the M32-Q app performs so poorly is it hasn't been updated in 8yrs. (This is for iOS, not sure on iPad)

I agree, The MX-Q app definitively has its bugs. But on the whole, it works for us. -Nathan R

Hi! Do you see it possible to have a dual control in the same time? One guy being mixing live the console in the auditorium and another guy on remote control in a separate room ? the idea is to have a separate mix for streaming
@CrazyAmazingDesigns3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! That is totally possible, and it's a great idea for setting up a Live Stream Mix. Multiple devices with the app can connect and control x32/m32 consoles at the same time. -Nathan R

can I set one up so that each person controlling their in ear can't adjust someone elses?
@CrazyAmazingDesigns3 ай бұрын
You can give them the MX-Q app, this will allow them to select any MixBus but not the Main L/R mix. If you can't teach them to select the correct mixbus, then your only other option is P16 Personal Mixers. -Nathan R

Don't be so quick to dismiss mixing station. For less than $10 for the app it is far superior to a lot of other apps.
@CrazyAmazingDesigns3 ай бұрын
@@jeffpyzocha5474 One reason being that I haven’t used it too much. This video is good for mentioning it, but then getting into the free options. I think it would make sense for the Mixing Station app to have its own video at some point. -Nathan R

Is it possible to set up routing on the X32 app? We've tried and it seems like the only solution is to walk back to the mixer and do our routing there. It has a routing tab, but that doesn't seem to allow us to change things on the User Routing slots (last tab) of the console.
@CrazyAmazingDesigns8 ай бұрын
Hi, Yeah, the x32 edit app on a computer is fantastic, but the other apps are VERY limited in their ability to edit the routing. -Nathan R

HEY! This must be the comment you were referring to in your other comment that I had not responded to. I try to reply quicker than 14 hours after a comment, but sometimes I'm unable. So again, I apologize. That sounds like an issue I'd like to see a video of. Can you take a short video of what's going on and email it to me? Thanks! My email is in the description. -Nathan R
