I wish I could use 'Apple-notes ' for note taking but my half month old 10th gen ipad can't afford to operate apple notes even for 10 min before it begins to get heated and notetaking becomes lagging. Does any one have this issue?

Had no idea note could be so comprehensive. I’ll have to check it out further. I just wish we could change the font. Hoping they add that soon. Question. I know there’s a notes widget that can simulate a sticky note for your desktop. Do you know if there’s a way to have multiple sticky notes? Whenever I try it, it uses the same note. I can’t find a way to link it to other notes.

I use Apple notes for knowledge management. Goodnotes is still my pick for digital planning and reading pdfs and annotations.

@@notonthat i just keep a minimum number of books (PDF) I am reading on Goodnotes. So it remains on Goodnotes. I used Apple iBooks for ePub format books and I have 200GB iCloud which is sufficient for most of what I do

I use it for mostly everything. It’s pretty powerful … plus it’s integrated into the OS. Ergo, you can tell Siri to do things if at times you’re feeling lazy. 😊 Did I mention Notes is powerful?

Hi, the memory of my ipad is getting full from the good notes files and pdf elements files. Is there any way we can store theses files on external drive or cloud and use them without them being stored in the ipad? This has created a big problem for me. 😢😢

I love Apple Notes but it’s 2024…how can you not have colored text?? I know there’s a workaround with a Mac but I don’t have one right now. I had my son share a note with me with a bunch of colors so I can copy and paste to use color.

Thanks for sharing!! I use apple notes to scan receipts for expense reports. I also pin and hide important docs in the event I need them while traveling. I did use Notes for recipes, but find that I never go back to them, so I started using Paprika instead. Thanks again!

When I start writing with my apple pencil in Apple Notes, it keeps converting the handwriting to text, as if I typed with the keyboard, is there a setting I need to enable/disable so I can use the notes page for handwriting?

Figured it out! Had to turn off the scribble feature of the apple pencil.

@@eoghanrussell that’s actually not necessary. There is a separate pen with an “A” on its side which makes everything handwritten convert to keyboard text. Just use another pen form the popup menu.

This was a tuamlg really helpful. I bought an iPad and was excited to use it, but I just hated looking at my handwritten notes. I’m gonna take another crack at it with the grid template. I also really liked the organization you used. I’ve seen people talk about the using smart folders and such features, but not any practical use for it and I think your notes looks great. I know it’s supposed to be about the content and not the looks, but the better the notes look, the more likely I am to want to read them imo. Also the more likely I might actually take notes in the first place.

I love Apple Notes because it has a lot of features, but also you can check, create, edit and delete your notes from everywhere, doesn't matter if your other device is Windows, Android, Linux and so on through the web. Goodnotes is great but on Apple's system, it only syncs to iCloud automatically and you need to manually backup each files to a Cloud service and then download on the other device. Too much hassle. I love Apple Notes.

I’d like to point out the miss use of the word “accessible.” I believe you meant to use “continuity” or cross platform/device availability.” Accessibility is very much a word used across many industries for-well-accessibility. Think ADA compliance etc. like screen readers, color inversions, etc. just thought you should know.

The most overlooked feature no one ever talks about is the ability to add videos in Apple notes. No other note taking app offers this that I known of.

Apple note is great app I loved but one thing is missing which you can’t export note as pdf Technically you can do to move note to Apple Page but this is not good for handwriting script.

You can export it to pdf by clicking share > print > then you click the box with arrow, it will show you pdf document, and you can save to files.

Just curious. Is your hard drive full? The fuller it is the harder the swap file has to work to get work done. If it is, try deleting a few things. I like keeping around 5 gigs free at all time because of that.

KZbinrs do not talk about many issues with apple on KZbin that creates practical problems. Ex apps like good notes, pdf elements etc creates a copy of their own and it fills up the memory so fast, how to deal with this? The charging is slow and battery drains comparatively faster esp when using apps for nkte taking and drawing etc. people can't just buy a new one every year. Stage manager could have been given in ipads without the M1 but they didn't give it. I am unable to download any new updates on my air 4 because the memory is almost from notes and pdf elements files. And no one has made a video on how to solve it.

My handwriting in apple notes looks horrible. And the AI smoothening feature is not the solution. Your handwriting should look pleasing from the start. That’s what makes writing with hand exciting. GoodNotes doesn’t get it either. Notability gets it to 90% 😅

BAD ADVICE. You use APPLE NOTES, you are "S T U C K" with it. Try to export multiple notes from APPLE NOTES, try to work with the documents, like merging documents, or anything like that. Not possible to access the files, like md-files. You can ONLY do, what APPLE allows you to do. It is "ROTTON". Good for simple notes. Very bad to use as a longterm vault. I stay with OBSIDIAN. Just because it's "open" to anything, I want to do with my information later.
