I don't know if it was just an urban legend or not, but I feel like Shane's fear is actually not that unfounded. I remember hearing before about people spreading AIDs by stabbing unsuspecting people with infected needles. Again, I don't have any sources and it may have been an urban legend, but I still don't think it's that unreasonable to believe that it can happen.
