For those wondering why applin is a dragon type, it's because it's a pun in a worm in an apple, but instead of a worm, it's a wyrm, a type of dragon

Still think it should be dragon/bug, because the apple is just an extra object it has, not a part of applin. Wugtrio lives in a rock but it's not rock type, komala spoons a wooden log but it's not grass type, and alakazam has metal spoons but it's not steel type. Appletun could have then evolved into dragon/grass since the apple becomes part of its body, while flappe could have remained dragon/bug since it looks like a bug and only uses the apple as wings

You can get lvl 15-18 Axew as well as lvl 10-15 Goomy both in the early routes. Goomy is near the marsh near the school, Axew is near the first titan.

I did a dragon only run before watching this. Just like you, had to use my starter to get a dragon starter, but I used a lvl 1 tatsugiri. To get tatsugiri I leveled up meowscarada to lvl 40 (only using rewards from tera raids), caught a male and female tatsuguri, bred them and hatched a lvl 1 tatsugiri to start the run with.

This is a funny video because I did this on my scarlet after home release. Bred what I needed on my violet. I named the player Draga went with H-Goodra, Garchomp, Dragonite, Dragapult, Salamence, and Baxcalibur. I did achieve beating the game, but I will say it was on the slight difficult side mostly because I had train 6 Pokémon with slow exp rate 😂.

Tip: against ionos mismagius, it's only attacking moves are charge beam and hex, so if you have a ground type and normal type you can just keep swapping between them to stall out its pp.

I feel like Terastallising should be ALLOWED-- All the Gym Leaders do it, and I for one think it makes it more interesting. Maybe just like them you're allowed to have one out-of-type Pokemon if it can Terastallise into the type you're using, and you aren't allowed to Terastallise any Dragon-types (in this example) into anything else, only Dragon. Still always impressive that you get through without, though! I'd love to see Ghost next, there's so many great ones in Paldea that I'm considering my own monotype run inspired by you!

In terms of Pseudo Dragon power, I’d say it’s a toss up between Garchomp and Hydreigon, before Gen 6 anyway. Shiny Haxorus is always gonna be my baby regardless because it’s quite possibly the best Shiny in existence, and honestly I’d say Goodra is up there as one of the best after Gen 6 purely because of its gigantic SpDef and the sheer amount of SpAtk fairy moves.

Need an update run. Also, if you're Lance, you can be a Larry Style trainer, with Flying types that look like dragons or Only Flying Dragons. Dragonite, Altaria, Salamence, Noivern, Iron Jugulis and i will allow either Cyclizar/ Miraidon/Koraidon since it your bike.
