Some notes from this video: 0:00~1:14 result of meditation: mind become calm, peaceful, pliable, workable, freedom, happiness which do not rely on external environment is the byproduct. 1:14~4:43 result of meditation from scientific perspective: changes in neuroplasticity, neuropaths, neurogenesis 4:44~5:21 meditation on awareness, love and compassion, wisdom can change baseline 5:22~ essense of meditation: awareness, i.e. knowing(beyond subject & object, self-luminosity ) (usually 1.we don't know it exists; 2.we don't know how to get in touch/connect with it) e.g. awareness is like sky and thoughts, emotion, memory, perception, feelings are like clouds; cloud is NOT sky; If you don't know main quality of a watch(which is to tell time), watch cannot tell you time; Ignorance= we don't recognize our innate qualities;==> trap in the body, time, subject, object, mind become small==> freedom comes when we recognize/connect with out innate qualities! 1.we don't know it exists(too easy, too close)==>need teaching 2.we don't know how to get in touch/connect with it==> need practice(awareness is important) 16:42~19:32 2 common mistakes about meditation(1. meditation think of nothing, empty mind empty brain 2. meditation is peace(the important is to connect with sky but not to get rid of clouds, don't do anything with clouds)) 19:33~21:32 how to connect with awareness; don't block or look for something, since we have not achieve freedom of mind yet. 21:33~ 3 stages of meditation experiences: 1. waterfall; (24:48~: 27:56 2 rough experiences+ 3 peaceful expericence during this stage: agitation, dullness; clarity, joy, non-conceptual experience); 2. river(29:31~30:50); 3. lake without wave(30:51~): can remain in awareness almost 24 hr/day. You are very precious, you are the key to find the answer (of the universe/liberation).

I would like to advice you to begin with non-conceptual understanding i.e. to really let go of the concept of ADHD. Over the years, you might have heard and created a lot of internal dialogue about this. Let go of it all. When you begin to meditate, a lot of that might come up, simply maintain the focus on the meditation object. What you are trying to do is build up the habit to focus - it will takes 2-3 months. Most of your suffering would be related to the subconscious autonomous thoughts, let them come and go - while you focus on an object. Meditation is an exercise, a skill - takes about 1-2 months to develop. Your mind is highly adaptable and it can always learn a new habit. I would recommend meditating 15-30 mins per day. I am sure you will succeed.

thought is ok - emotion is ok - feeling is ok ..........what counts is the way we REACT .... I find Mingyur Rinpoche's advice and teaching really helpful and inspiring. I also recently came across the writings of Marcus Aurelius, he was a Roman Emperor and Stoic Philosopher. He said things like "You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength." "Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking." "When you arise in the morning, think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love..." Wisdom is the same really, whichever tradition it comes from. 🙏🏽🙏🏻🙏🏼

Yongey Minghur is one of my favorite Buddhist teachers because of his natural sense of humour and his patient way of explaining something as seemingly complex as life. His analogy of the road to Lhasa having many high and low roads as life does made me think of the sacred Tibetan Mount Kailash, which Tibetans willingly do prostrations around. It's impressive that Tibetans, who already have a challenging daily life, would willingly perform such a duty. Tibetans are such good people, and their contribution to Buddhism should never be forgotten.

Yesterday I did my first guided meditation for two friends. they asked me since I am the one more into that. I talked about the clouds and the sky as I found it very helpful when I started. I wanted to deliver a good experience for them. I was nervous too. I had many clouds as well. As you say. In order to really clean and process what's inside you need to make it turbulent for a while and be OK with that. They thanked me a lot for that 10 min friendly meditation. And only then I started to see the progress I ve made in the past few years.(despite of my last setbacks) I was surprised I was able to convey and inspire a little about meditation. And lately I ve been in a really chaotic situation due to self contradictions and ups and downs of life and for me it was eye opening. I am so grateful to be able to be of help even it's just a little bit. It's not easy for anyone. Also, I realized I have been a tyrant to myself not allowing myself to be happy and and a true friend to myself To water kindness towards myself has always being neglected which only exacerbated my ups and downs. I am so grateful I am starting to see that. I have improved and can improve more. I can be a friend to myself, a really good coach, etc. And I can also help others see things in a different light. It's awesome. Thank you!!! Really inspired :) ❤
