Eventually, we have to bring those grammatical structures into our habitual, we have to become more familiar with those structures!

For today's native speakers, grammar is not their thing. You speak grammatically correct English and you'll be suspected of being a foreigner. If the Holy Grail for the ESL student is to sound like a native, then I'd say forget about grammar, correct pronunciation (If there's such a thing) though you may want to pay a little attention to spelling. I mean a little attention. We don't want your students agonizing over whether the last two letters of words such as "advisor" or "Impostor" should be "or" as opposed to "er." But what is wrong with young people saying, "You should've went' as opposed to "You should've gone"? Let's not subject our ESL students to the vagaries of the subjunctive. Let's give them the unconditional freedom to drop the rules regarding the conditional. Finally, please, please keep your ESL students away from English language dictionaries. English language teachers in American schools are allergic to them. They keep them around the classroom just for show. /s
