I do the little talking thing sometimes with other people, muffling my voice and shaking my arms. People still laugh with me about it. Meet the Robinson's was the movie that made me feel like I was going to be able to do anything, and I really wanted to be Lewis/Cornelius when I grew up. It's unfortunate that because of how my life actually turned out, I can't watch the movie anymore, because it feels like I failed, and that I was lying to myself.

The part where Lewis failed his machine miserably and the family CELEBRATED it as it was an opportunity to learn and one step closer to success is SO IMPORTANT to kids and adults alike!! It's definitely something I struggle with myself. And honestly, I have felt called to adopt one day myself - so I'm hoping this is a movie I will get to enjoy with my own kid at some point. 💖 And I feel like Walt Disney would have LOVED this movie. He was so passionate about innovation and invention.
@ScarletFury3 жыл бұрын
Heya PixarShark! Fellow subscriber to both you and Cody here! I love watching your reactions to MLP too! But I definitely have to agree with your point about celebrating and moving forward from failure as a valuable lesson from this amazing movie. Too often I'm my own worst critic and just find myself beating myself up over mistakes and poor decisions I've made instead of learning from them.... this can lead to a dark, detrimental spiral of destroying my self worth and confidence.... and ultimately, led me to some of my struggles with mental health as of recently... I too love inventing, creativity and designing, so I really related to Lewis in this movie... it hits hard. In fact, one day, I hope to engineer and design my own theme park! So Walt Disney is often a source of inspiration to me. I'm definitely more open to adopting at some point too because of movies like this. Obviously I'd love to find a wife whom I could also have biological kids with as well, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of adopting at all for me, instead, it inspires it more too! Anyhay, thought I'd just share my brief thoughts with ya, since I see ya around a lot of my favorite KZbinr's channels as well. Have a blessed day! :D :3

I have a fan theory about this movie: In the flashback to Lucille’s wedding (22:46), there are two bridesmaids. The one on the left looks remarkably similar to Mildred, the orphanage matron. I think the other bridesmaid is either 1) Franny’s mother (the resemblance!) or 2) Lewis’ birth mother. If the latter (which is my favorite idea), this means that Lewis’ mother brought her son to the orphanage that her (possibly former) friend ran. Seeing how reluctant she was to leave Lewis, it would make the transition slightly easier to know he would be taken care of by someone she knew she could trust. And then, Mildred, after seeing Lewis face so many disappointing appointments with potential parents, sets up one final meeting: Lucille and Bud, two eccentric souls who might be the perfect fit for a brilliant boy. However, Lucille had no idea that Fate would bring Lucille and Lewis together in an even more magical way.

POV: You’re cozied up on the living room floor watching one of the most emotional Disney movies of all time, the glow of the TV illuminating your space as Meet the Robinsons unfolds before your eyes. One of your favorite animated films of all time is born. The song will forever make you feel some kind of way. The emotional weight of this Disney masterpiece wraps around you like a warm blanket, and the soundtrack hits you right in the feels, the soundtrack is impacting you on a spiritual level. This isn’t just a movie; it’s an experience, a moment frozen in time where your favorite animated film is brought to life. And then it happens-the song “Little Wonders” plays. Suddenly, you’re transported. Every note and lyric resonates deep within your soul, tugging at your heartstrings with an intensity that feels almost spiritual. The message of cherishing life’s small moments echoes in your mind, reminding you that it’s these little wonders that shape our existence. Yes, all these lives ARE made in these small hours. You might not know this yet, but the songwriter penned this piece inspired by his dog, capturing the essence of joy found in the simplest of things. Those “little wonders” represent the small moments that bring happiness, whether it’s a wagging tail, a gentle nudge, or the pure love that comes from companionship. It’s the kind of song that lingers long after the credits roll, leaving a profound impact that has you reaching for tissues. Each listen brings a fresh wave of emotion, reminding you of the beauty in everyday life. You can’t help but feel overwhelmed, tears streaming down your cheeks, because this song encapsulates everything you love about the film and the connection we share with those we hold dear. “Little Wonders” is more than just a track; it’s a celebration of life’s fleeting moments, a reminder to embrace every little joy. As the final notes fade, you know this song will forever hold a special place in your heart, etching itself into the tapestry of your memories and experiences. It’s a reminder that amidst the chaos of life, it’s the small things that truly matter. The song "Little Wonders" is a beautiful reflection of the film's central themes-growth, family, and cherishing the small moments that make life meaningful. The poignant lyrics serve as a reminder that life’s true beauty often lies in those little experiences we sometimes take for granted. Whether it's the warmth of a hug, a shared laugh, or a quiet moment with loved ones, these small hours are what truly shape our lives. Knowing that the song was inspired by the simple joys of a dog adds an even richer layer of meaning. Pets bring so much unconditional love and joy into our lives, and the song beautifully encapsulates that essence. It resonates with anyone who has ever experienced the loyalty and companionship of a beloved pet, making it relatable to a wide audience.

I'm really glad you liked this... It's been near and dear to my heart since we saw in theaters all those years ago, and while my mother and sister were bedazzled by the 3D effect (this was one of the first movies to offer it), I was drawn in by the story and its wacky cast and their interactions and relationships. I'm glad I got to love the movie for what it was rather than the effects I couldn't see. My left eye is lazy so I can't focus, and the 3D aspect therefore went right over my head. I've never been so grateful for my eye issues.

The ending song by the singer of Matchbox Twenty hits me every frickin' time. Especially with that Disney quote.

Yeah, this movie gets me every single time 😭 My favorite part is when, Louis had to knock on the orphanage door. Taking responsibility for himself despite his circumstances.

Wow, Nice Reaction of Meet the Robinsons, one of my third favorite Disney animated movies ever since Dinosaur 2000 and The Lion King 1994 and this still holds up and tells us very good and important message like Keep Moving Forward.

2:25 Same. The director of the Film was an Orphan. 5:35 Its crazy how people thought in 2007 that this was gonna be the future in 30 years. “Keep Moving Forward” is such a good quote. Especially a person who has been through Trauma or something serious. 19:29 Cornelius is actually voiced by Tom Selleck.

Such a troubling time for Disney during this era. After lackluster performances like Home On the Range and Chicken Little, it wasn’t easy for the studio to turn a profit. Lilo & Stitch was that one spark of hope. Then five years after that, Meet the Robinsons came in and proved Disney can still pack quite a punch.

If you pay really close attention to the sounds in the opening scene, and the scene where Lewis goes back in time to see his mom, you'd realize that they actually sync up perfectly, in that Lewis was the noise that spooks his mom, as well as the one who knocked on the door in the beginning, after he'd already done everything.

The hats taking over always remind me of Starro from DC with starfish planting on people’s faces. Wonder if that was a nod to that since there’s so many films that pay homage to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Community did the best take in that with their episode of Glee and regionals.

Omigosh, there's an episode of Batman Brave and the Bold where Starro takes over the entire League except for a handful of heroes. They build-up to it in previous episodes hinting that something's going on. Such a great series.
