If you purchased it from www.thecrosslegacy.com/book it is a pdf and it can be printed. If you purchased through Amazon then it is only the ebook version. We are praying hard for the right publisher to get a printed book in the future.

Great advice and knowledge you are sharing with us. Question? I see that you use the glass Pyrex. I have quite a few Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage containers. However, they are the clear plastic. Do the containers have to be glass? The manufacturer states that they do not stain and resist odors. They are not as heavy and easier to store. Thanks again for knowledge and advice.

I personally don't have the Rubbermaid ones so I can't compare. I do know that I have always washed my produce and it wasn't until we switched to glass around 7 yrs ago is when I started seeing the drastic difference in shelf life. Try it out with your containers and see how they do after a couple of weeks.

Ok Amy, I can put things into the fridge all marked just like you teach. Here lies my problem... somehow they go by or spoil because I don't have them on my mind and forget their in the fridge. I buy them this stuff for a recipe then it sometimes doesn't get used. How can I be more proactive, so they don't spoil? thanks for your we wonderful teachings your a blessing

When you store it like this then it will stay fresh for weeks. I plan our meals around the produce that needs to be used then pull what I need out of the freezer. Cutting down your trips to the grocery store also forces you to eat what you have at home and not constantly buying more. I have a grocery course where I break down these stills that is linked in the description also.

those are both in an upcoming project with specific details but if you follow the tips for celery here in this post will help you with leeks. thecrosslegacy.com/salad/. Cabbage I keep unwashed not in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer.

I realize this lady is trying to help. And many of her suggestions are good. But, really, why would anyone want to keep any produce for 3 weeks after buying them from the store? Most of the produce is already stored for who knows how long in cold storage. Why would anyone want to add more shelf life to fresh vegetables and fruits? Also, 3 weeks is too long between grocery shopping. Especially for fresh produce, we go shopping every 3-4 days. Other things can be stored longer like dairy, juice etc. Please,, folks, you want to eat the fruits and vegetables as quickly as you can after buying. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. Do you ever buy apples in the spring? Those apples are 6 months old so keeping them at your house a little bit longer is just a mindset change. But the reason I don't go to the store often is because I only spend $135/person on groceries per month and we have zero food waste and fresh produce the entire time. This is the same budget I use for our varying family size of 2-8 depending on how many are living here at the time between being college age parents and also foster parents. On average we are spending $270/month on groceries when it is just the 2 of us home. If you don't need to watch your grocery budget or spending that's great but most people are spending way to much at the grocery store to feed their families. I am teaching practical ways to get wholesome food into homes.

I rarely comment but have to say that I am so excited to get her book and have really enjoyed listening to her posts on how to keep items fresher for longer. From a family of seven down to just my husband and I, we have so much waste simply from food going bad because it’s not washed or stored properly. Money is not the issue- waste is. She is a breath of fresh air and even at 70 I’m learning more than I ever imagined! ❤️
