"Can you show up when everything is stacked against you? Can you show up when you don't feel like showing up?". - once we master that, we can achieve anything ✌🏻

Something I am struggling with as a coddled person up until mid-20’s and now 36. Only starting to taste “reality” now that so much pressure against me...sometimes I just break down though and cannot apply myself but when I do, I am great! Needing to find that extra gear but do not know how to reach it sometimes.

Great message for me today as I’m about to embark in a Masters in Acupuncture school at the age of 52. I’ve attempted school twice, while still on active duty in the Army, and failed both times. Now I’m retired and showing up again to pursue a skill set to help both humans and animals/birds etc. Thanks for sharing your learned wisdom.❤️

So I love everything you do! So much emotional expression, inspirational, and encouraging. Love you podcast and it has gotten me through a lot. You have changed a ton of lives for the better! Life is very precious, you know from experience how to make the most of every experience. I am also an ex-runner who crashed from Lyme disease(still recovering 3 years later). I totally relate to the life of running and how freeing that can be. We are all unique and should embrace that rather than shame from being our truest self.

Oh... I needed this today, I'm the classic young & broke but me and my boyfriend, we are dreamers! And we are athletes and both are expensive sometimes ! He's a cyclist so you can imagine ...lots of money, lots of time, lots of pacience. But we always make it work by helping and supporting each other. The good thing about being broke is that you appreciate things more and you are more grateful. Although I'm always grateful sometimes it gets hard and frustrating you know ? And I guess that's fine and it's a feeling that we need to embrace and accept but always having in mind that the future will be better! Today was one of those frustrating days but I'm lucky that I'm not alone, I have someone with me working with me for a great future and that's the most important! I was just refleting about this when I saw you just uploaded a video. The universe is awesome.

gush, thank You for sharing and being vulnerable. Sometimes, I guess it's worth to scroll down on comments to find something that "sticks". You've described exactly the situation that we're in, except for other disciplines we're involved in. Yeah, I guess we're learning in every situation we're encountering. Thank You for changing a perspective for me. Be strong and keep showing up! :) Greetings from Poland

I watch a few of your videos every day and here is why.... I am not an athlete anymore I used to run and race walk I am a 67 year old retired surgical nurse recovering from triple negative breast cancer and in the last days of radiation treatment. I am an artist and I am 33 years sober and have a gratitude list longer than I am tall (5'6 1/2") every single day. But I really need the positivity that you put out... I don't really need to go to a lot of meetings anymore but I do miss being with people of like mind so your videos are helping me more than you could ever know. I do walk every day, I wish every day that I could be an athlete again, I miss that, but I am winning regardless💖Thank you for your part in my journey!!!

So great! When I was doing lots of corporate travel, I would schedule my flights out of LAX so I could get a surf in at Venice before I left. Unfortunately I wasn’t sober then and couldn’t enjoy it to its maximum. I used long distance running to get out of the “dark times”. As it turns out, lots of us apparently did. Maybe we just had to outrun our demons. Too bad I didn’t know of this podcast at the time. Thank you for your work!
@evelynbaron20045 жыл бұрын
Great inspiring almost stream of consciousness. Thank you! My sister is on the road a lot and I used to be; our first flight was with our parents; I was 9 and she almost 7 and our ultimate destination was a small island Crveny Otok (red mountain) off the Istrian coast; very rugged and beautiful caves … we were both water babies and around that time I started having flying dreams that were extraordinary and vivid, most likely sparked off by the parallel experiences of flight and water. When I went through my own period of active alcoholism they abruptly stopped. In fact they've never resumed, which is something I lament. But your reflections brought those great memories back, in the same way that when I listen to the Tom Petty corpus recurring themes present themselves in songs like Learning to Fly --- a plethora that describe both a visceral experience and also a metaphor for living. Once again, Tx!
