Note that animal protein (chicken in this case) is your friend for weight loss, because you can get more protein for lower calories and carbs, than proteins from legumes (chickpeas in this case).
Protein helps keep you FULL, it fuels your metabolism (it takes a lot of energy to digest and process protein), andddddd it helps you maintain muscle in a caloric deficit.
