Dear Ashley and Jordan, We began with your Romania videos first because we saw them listed first. From 2012 to 2019, my brother and I traveled the world with just our backpacks and duffels. We began in the Yucatàn (unintentionally living there for 2 ½ years) before making our way south through Central and South America. Then we began again in Iceland and moved south through Europe. WE LOVED ROMANIA! For all the reasons you give in your video. Same with Bulgaria, Greece, and Macedonia. However, my brother suffered several strokes in Greece and Macedonia. We never planned to return to the States, but we had to. Since then, his vision has been quite impaired (he was a masterful photographer), and he is totally bedridden. But his mind is alert, and he can see better on the big screen TV. Which brings us to your videos. We’ve been watching them each evening, reminiscing about our travels to where you went. Your observations and appreciation are identical to ours-about the people, wanting to avoid touristy places and your respect for local ways. Your videos are well-produced, and you two exude such positivity and energy; well, it’s been a treat for both of us. We just want to thank you and congratulate you on your decision to travel. You will never ever regret it. As we near the end of our own lives (he’s 77 and I’m 75) it is the one thing we totally agree on: Having traveled the world for 7 ½ years, we have absolutely no regrets. Unless it was that we did not start our journey earlier. Our very best wishes to you both. Joel R. Dennstedt and Stephen F. Dennstedt

You know it’s a small town when the biggest traffic jam is caused by geese crossing the road and horses being the school bus. Peak rural vibes! The dedication to preserving traditional Romanian village life in Viscri is truly heartwarming. It’s amazing to see the blend of history and daily life in such a picturesque setting. The fortified church is a stunning piece of history. It’s incredible to think about all the people who have worshipped there since the 1400s. Such a beautiful landmark.

@@sebastianstoica578 I agree...although Romania IS very beautiful indeed. Yet---no more beautiful than some of the other countries of the world, with their own gorgeous locations. There are so many spectacular places in the world---there could never be an agreement on the MOST beautiful one. It can't be narrowed down to just one--too much competition! @dittehompoth1469 lRomania is a country with many minorities and, of course religions. The main religion is Orthodox Christian, followed by Catholic, Muslim, and other branches of the Baptist, Pentecostal churches. People have no ethnic or religious differences, they have been living like this for thousands of years.
@GimmeDaGun6 ай бұрын
@@danielacontras7303 "...they have been living like this for thousands of years." Well, not exactly. Religious freedom was first declared by the Torda assembly in 1568. But that was in Hungary and not in Romania, since Transylvania had been a part of Hungary from 896-1920. Only the treaty of Trianon in 1920 made it possible for Romania to annect Transilvania from Hungary by the support of the Entente powers. That's how 1,8 million native Hungarians, and 500k Saxons who had been invited by the Hungarians to settle down in Transylvania in the 12-14th century and were lliterally sold to East-Germany by Ciaucescu became all of a sudden minorities in their own native lands. The Saxons and Krauts vanished completely but the Hungarians are still there as a very strong minority despite all the efforts that aimed their assimilation and migration.

@razi-elinho25 күн бұрын
Not really. Tarts are made with pastry cream and topped with fruits that are covered with a fruit glaze. At first, I thought it was a "Bavarian Slice" (Cremeș), but then I realized it was just a sponge cake with meringue and powdered sugar on top. We also have many other cakes, including birthday and wedding cakes that feature fruits and can't be called tarts.
