Yeah. I get you. I liken it to professional singers having to hash over all their old songs on stage 10 or 20 years later. Someone like Adele singing Rolling in the Deep and dredging up all her old feelings about a past heart ache. Or Tina Turner singing about her domestic abuse. They're just examples, lol. It must be hell, in a way. It would definitely keep bringing everything back, the trauma etc. Have you considered professional therapy to work through your trauma before you even decide what your next step is? I know that therapists undertake their own therapy before they have their own clients. I'm in therapy now, I've waited years for it. Or, maybe finish the book, get it out there, that way you are helping people..but you don't have to make another move at all. You could put it to rest if you wish. I'm sure you'll work it out. You've put so much out here for us that you don't realise you have helped and are helping people every day, already. So thankyou 🙏 Take some time to decide. I've adjusted my focus this year and am attempting a relationship before I am 100% well. I've scaled down all other things in order to direct my remaining energy there. I've cut out all yes *all* toxic people!! So far, I feel a bit better, although I'm still tired. But I've got more self esteem to help me make better choices with food etc, so I've lost 1st. 🎉 Anyway, good luck and chill while you decide. All the best. Sarah.

James, I'm no professional, but I don't feel I need to be. I have life experience, and that's enough. From what I'm hearing here is you need a new life, you want something fresh an new, to feel alive, healthy an at peace!!! My advice is listen to your heart, forget helping people forget KZbin just go live your best life an build your dreams. # justmyopnion God bless you and your family ❤

James, you have done so much already. If you don't feel like making a video, writing a book, help one on one, you don't have to. Stress contributes to illness and doing things you don't really want to do is stressful. You have so many videos on here that are enough, you've done so much already. If you feel called to continue on this path feel free to do so but if you don't that's perfectly ok. You need to take care of yourself and your family. Also, you don't have to be all in or all out. You can come on here from time to time and share your thoughts if that is what you feel like doing in the moment. Thank you for all the videos thay you've done throughout the years, I am certain they have helped so many people and will continue to help many more.

As my therapist told me for years "trust yourself". Perhaps completely stopping all you've been doing in the "getting well space" for a time and see where that takes you. The most freeing times in my life were moving on when I needed to move on. A blessed New Year to you!

I understand and resonate with this so much. I think, for me, being authentic is key. Discussing what resonates with you at the moment, not just illness and recovery. How to be the best version of yourself. How to build back up your self esteem. How to claim back your own power. These topics are relevant to you, aside from illness. Discuss them from The experience and lens that only you have. You have so much to give and more to grow. Keep growing on here with us. Sending love for all that you’ve given in the past and all that you still have to give inside you in the future - in whatever way that makes sense for you. ❤️ just show up as you! We are here for it!

Doctors deal with health issues all day, If being sick brought you on your journey to being a healer, then you'll continue dealing with health issues and illness. It doesn't mean you are attached to being ill. Personally, I think you'd be a great life coach. I've thought that for a while. My understanding is that the life coach course/program isn't too long. Also, if you don't want to do KZbin shorts, don't do them. Lots of people dislike them, anyway.

I am not ill often, but when I am, I take the opportunity to fall into a state of deep rest. I slow down my thoughts, my movements, what I do in the day, to a speed in which I can notice the emotional stirrings within me. I notice the good feelings that warm me like a fire and use those to help me heal, and I notice the feelings causing me tension and blocking my desires in everyday life, and I release them. It is usually very difficult to slow down this much when I am well, but because of how much I benefit from this, I've been practicing this when I'm well to keep me balanced.

I feel the questioning is a small clue you’re on the right track to gaining awareness, i experience it as questioning for a bit, then letting go for a bit and focusing on the day to day (despite it not always being a flow, learning how to tolerate the lack of flow) and then insight generally comes most of time. I’ve had to learn to enjoy life whilst not having all the answers immediately, then life seems to somehow pay me back with some suggestions at some point.

When you go to trauma like you did you will never be able to leave the past behind, every time you will get sick all those horrible things that you have been through you get alive again.

Well taking you’re own advice which you kindly give out to strangers on the internet might be a start … take time out give yourself space and follow you’re gut … this is your life and how you want to live it will change from time to time … good luck I think you will find those answers soon like you always have done 😊

Really relate to this vlog right now. When we’ve experienced chronic symptoms for so much of our life and worked so hard to get healthy again, it’s so hard to overcome that trigger that returns with any major stressor like getting sick again. I got covid for first time on 20th Dec. i was finally in a better place again before it, getting out more, being productive with my music… After the covid went, the chronic fatigue and dizziness returned again 🙄 So the last week its been up and down again, so I totally get that trigger for you and how it’s so tied up with our self worth and identity. Maybe you could just keep helping people through these videos on this channel and offering your consultations again. Not doing the whole social media influencer thing with shorts, reels and frequent posts etc. Your raw vlogs like these are what reached us in the first place. Just take breaks if you feel like you’re talking about the topic too much.

I got cfs 10 years ago and then covid a year ago and it set me back for a whole year, still not over it. I realised I had to actually slightly push myself in order to begin to overcome the covid. Otherwise, I'd have stayed at 15% energy forever. But I only did it when I felt able to.

@@sjla2009 yeah I’ve still got the lingering fatigue that makes you feel so drained/weak/woozy, like you can just sleep anytime, but still sticking to my baseline of housetasks, walking 2km and afternoon nap. So annoyed that the covid has set me back to maintaining this lower state again.

James, I recently realised that I was actually dealing with the withdrawals of antidepressants with intense emotional blunting. I do not feel like myself. How will I get back my emotions and original personality?

I see it is nice and sunny again where you live. 😆We need to move somewhere near the equator. So we can relax on the beach every single day, have plenty of vit D.. Here in Czech Republic basically 6 months a year it's just horrible. Grey sky, you don't see the sun for days and days.. Depression goes up and up and up.. I hate it so much lol..

James have you tried being more grateful? It is simple and overlooked. But think about it right. If you are grateful, then you wouldn't be doing all this thinking. Like my future, this and that. Where you are at. You also won't pursue material things as much. Being ungrateful however usually destroys things rather than making them better. I think a lot of people, me included, have secretly been ungrateful and negative in the past and that is when you start all this worrying and overthinking. Try to be more present as well. Where you are at this moment is where you are at, that simple, and where we are going is none of our concern. Let it unfold.
