That’s exactly what happened to me. I fertilized them in spring and watered them everyday. The blooms are so massive I can’t believe my own eyes.

Great video! Always good to see the mature version of the hydrangeas. Sometimes they are hard to find videos of.

Thanks for the good information. What benefits do you get transferring the hydrangea from plastic container to grow bag then burying it in the ground?

The grow bag allows moisture to pass through. Ultimately, if you can plant them in the ground, that's the best, but the grow bag can be very useful in special situations.

Love this video. How do you encourage new growth from the roots to come up? I want it to look full. Right now, it just looks slim and thin. I hope that makes sense.

This fall or early spring, give the plant a good pruning. That will encourage growth below. If you've got an Annabelle, Incrediball, or Invincibelle variety, you should shear them down to about 6" when the plant is dormant.

@@UpNorthGardenMI Awesome, thank you. I have limelight and it has one lead truck but doesn't branch out as much. Its not in a standard form. But can't wait to prune it to see new shoots pop up.
